I don't know how inexpensive you're looking at, but my friend used an Andis Straightener on my hair, and I think they're about 20-30 dollars. It was nice. I think they sell them at Target. They might be at other places, too, but that was the only place I checked.

Otherwise, the BaByliss got pretty good reviews on Folica, and I think that was about 20 dollars.

    Good Luck!

Another vote for Andis. I used to struggle with my Conair. It was horrible and did nothing. You can even find the Andis on www.amazon.com if you can't find it in the store.

Hi. I got the Conair Ceramic Pro at Target for $19.99. I've used it for about a year now, and it works pretty good. Not as good as a Maxiglide or a Chi, but for $19.99, it does a good job. Here's a pic of my hair pressed with this iron. BTW, I have 3C hair.

I use a Conair Ceramic Pro. I got it for like $14.99 at Wal-Mart, my roommate has one too. It gets the job done for the inexpensive price. Its the only one I own.
