Isn't it nice when guys appreciate your hair?

ElithiaElithia Registered Users Posts: 297
Most of my guy friends don't really notice hair except in the sense of "oh, your hair is curly" and "her hair is straight". Like, if I do something different with it they don't even notice. And a couple of them prefer straight hair. But the other day I was chatting with one of my guy friends (he's a curly too!) on Facebook and he said:

"I just have to tell you that I love your hair. It's so perfect. Like, seriously...I'm in love with your hair."

:laughing6:

If he ever asks me out I am so saying yes. We can get married and have lots of curly babies, LOL.

lol Don't worry! My own dad didn't even notice when I dyed my hair dark red or when I cut it from mid back length to shoulder length. Granted I don't see him everyday...but come on haha.

Guys who notice hair... it's a beautiful thing =)

There's one guy I know who is CONSTANTLY playing with/"petting" my hair (bothers me, but if I'm planning on washing it soon anyways I let him). A few times he's even made comments like "Are those... light streaks in your hair??" (speaking of my natural highlights) and he always talks about how he wants to have my hair :sign5:

Another guy... he's a curly... likes to talk about hair. It kinda cracks me up. He's always like... "We have just about the same hair"
... which isn't actually true, his hair is fine and 3b while mine is coarsecoarseTHICK and 3a/b.
but it's the thought that counts, eh?
I am a 3a/b with normal-coarse hair that is medium-thick and fairly porous.

    Currently using:
    ~VitaminShampoo (CG  )
~L'oreal Vive Pro Nutri Gloss for medium to long hair that's curly/wavy
    ......wow that is a mouthful.
    ~Garnier Fructis curl-shaping spray gel

Yeah...I don't think I've gotten compliments from any guy but him. It's the kind of thing girls notice that guys don't, I guess.

I've had lots of compliments or comments about my hair, mainly because the colour changes like my clothes.

I've yet to actually hear a compliment about my actual hair, and not the colour.

I only get compliments on my wavy/curly hair when I actually say something about it first, so we'll see.

There's this one very metrosexual guy who does the school plays with me and he gets on my nerves sometimes but one day I had my hair straight (which I only do once in a while) and he just looked at me for a minute and was like "Y'know your curly hair is so much prettier". I was having a bad day and I almost hugged him it made me feel so good.
    Guys should notice things more.

I guess I'm not the only one with an evil plan. :D

Seriously, I already make plans about what I will do to my curly kids' hair when I have them. ;) I just need to make sure I marry a guy who won't give them straight hair. My mum is straight, my dad is curly, and of their four kids I'm the only one who got the curls!

There's this guy who was in my social studies class last and kept on playing with my hair. I didn't really mind cuz he's kinda cute. Sadly he has straight hair. :( But i hope to marry Nick Jonas and having little curly haired singing babies! How adorable is that!!! My best friend in the whole wide world actually had a dream that that happened.... hm. but anyways people are like always playing with my hair cuz out of all the eighth graders I'm like the only girl with curly hair. Everyone else stairghtens it.

I used to be under the impression that no guys liked curly hair, and it upset me for obvious reasons. This year though I straightened my hair more often than usual, and my six closest guy friends basically yelled at me for straightening it. Its been curly ever since :sunny:

There was this one guy at my church who loved my hair. He would alwayse comment on how natrually pretty it was and how i didnt have to try hard to get it that way. As opposed to straightening, blow drying and etc.
It always made me feel nice when he would say those things :]

There once was a guy who just stuck his hand in my hair (see how thick my hair is?) and scruched it and said "you're hair's fun"

I'm taking it as a compliment.

i think ive had 2 guys say nice stuff about my hair when it was curly....and one was definitely gay (he was one of my friends, im for sure on this one)....and the other one was the only curly haired guy i knew that wore it long enough to look curly....i think he wouldve been a hair twin....but if i wear my hair straight (which is like, once a month) theyre like, "woah, kenzie, what happened to your hair?!?"

....but i do have random strangers stop me on the street and tell me my hair looks great.

Guys usually like my hair cuz it has lots of personality, but girls hate my hair. And it isn't jealousy either, they genuinely think it looks bad. But I don't usually care. After all, as long as I like it and the guys like it, who needs anyone else?! lol :D

when i first was trying to figure out what to do with my curly hair instead of my straight hair, I scrunched it.. i didn't like it scrunched so i'd come into school & say, "wow, my hair looks like crap. haha" and my new best guy friend (who everyone thinks is gay..) says, "awww, no its not! it looks pretttyy!!" (: it made my day wayy better. haha. so yeah, it is great when guys notice your hairrr!

but no girls like my hair.
    oh well! i like it!
if I ask what I should do, straighten or curl, they immediatly shout "STRAIGHTEN!!!!" and I say no... there isn't really any point in asking. lol.

I find myself with less respect for those who straighten their hair constantly or have relaxers or whatever else is out there. I believe that if your hair is curly, wavy, or straight, your hair is beautiful as is. There are non-damaging solutions for frizz or split ends or whatever. You don't have to burn it flat or fry it with chemicals to look "good." People say love the skin you're in, same goes for hair.

once, i went to school with my hair flat ironed. I walked into my first period class and a guy immediately looked over at me and said, "why did you do that to your hair?? i like it curly!" Some people might see that as an insult, but it was probably one of the nicest hair compliments i've ever gotten :)
