Ok. I'm not sure it is what you are looking for, but Outkast's B.O.B. (bombs over bagdad) is very upbeat. It makes me want to move when I hear it.

Other songs that make me feel like exercising are 80s songs:

    Talking in your sleep
    Don't you want me
    tumblr_mk2chrdnQe1qzwi58o1_500.gif
Mix of 3s, thick, coarse, medium porosity

Current hair styling technique: rake with a scrunch at the end. (works with my coarse hair)

Like I said, the more the merrier! I'm hoping that the contributions listed here will help more than just little old me. :happy2:

I love that song from Madagascar! When the movie first came out, the song could only be purchased as part of the whole album, which I wasn't going to do. I'm gonna have to check that one out again to see if it's available as a "single". LOL! Is that term even used anymore?

Hmm, I think my musical tastes may be a little different than those of most of the people who've posted here thus far... :)

I tend to like fairly aggressive music for working out, so a lot of what's on my iPod's workout mix is somewhere in the metal-to-industrial sort of range. In particular, I find that a lot of the European "symphonic metal" bands, who incorporate classical influences into their music while still having a metal edge, like Nightwish, Tristania, Sirenia, Within Temptation, etc. are really good to work out to.

Also, some of the noisier German neomediaeval bands, like Corvus Corax/Tanzwut, Saltatio Mortis, Subway to Sally, etc. are excellent workout music. Mediaval melodies with crashing percussion and snarly German vocals!

Not sure I really could pick just three songs, but if I absolutely had to try... Well, maybe:
    1. Nightwish - "Over the Hills and Far Away"
    2. Corvus Corax - "Venus Vina Musica"
    3. Hmmm... I'm torn between Tristania's "World of Glass" and Within Temptation's "Hand of Sorrow"
But really, there's quite a lot of other songs by the same handful of artists that work just as well. Last time "The Poet and the Pendulum" from Nightwish's new album came up in my mix, I ended up increasing my weights on several machines and doing extra sets on a couple of them. The song's 14 minutes long, so I certainly had time...
Hair type: 3a (fine "Botticelli curls", a little less than shoulder length).
CG Status: Mostly CG since Feb 25 - it's still kind a work in progress.
Currently using: Suave Naturals Tropical Coconut conditioner as both co-wash and leave-in, and Aussie Instant Freeze gel. Have almost entirely kicked the blow drying habit now, and finally gotten the hang of that clipping thing.

I'm SOOOO lazy to get on that elliptical machine, but that wasn't the question, was it?

Of all the songs on my exercise playlist, these are the top 3 (OK - 4):

    1. I Like to Move It - from the Madagascar Soundtrack
    - - (Yes, someone mentioned this one, but it's my favorite one, too.)
    2. Whip It - Devo
    3. We have a TIE:
    - - Shake Your Bon Bon - Ricky Martin
    - - Jump in the Line - Harry Belafonte (It's old, but it's fun! You gotta listen to the lyrics.)

There is one other that's probably the best motivator: Fat-Bottomed Girls by Queen
    [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

*sigh* most people won't look up these songs, and it's a shame b/c these beats can get another mile out of me when I'm slowing down.

"I'm in the House" - Dj Aoki

"Krazy" - Pitbull & Lil Jon

"Played A Live" - Safri Duo ******** this one is a must to check out!!

    2. Galvanize - The Chemical Brothers
    3. What's the Altitude - Cut Chemist (not as fast paced as the other two, but good)
