I hate my hair so much :(
in Curly Teens
could anyone give me some advice cos i have no idea what to do.
my hair is 2c but my ends hardly ever curl, which looks really stupid.
my hair also takes aproximately 4-5 hours to dry naturally, but if i sleep with it wet it goes straight. i have been doing CG since june, which is going ok, sometimes. i used to braid my hair but i've stopped to see if my natural curls got better with CG but i'm very close to going back to braiding if nothing works.
it takes hours and hours to get my hair to even resemble something nice, which is ok, i guess during the summer, but i'm trying to see what works so that i can do my hair quickly and easily for when school starts.
i've tried plopping which works sometimes, but on one side all my hair flicks out which is annoying. and pinenappling seems to work but only when i'm in a different, hotter country. and i've tried pixie curl diffusing but the heat really badly damages my hair, the ends all split and go dry.

i'm really frustrated.
any ideas?

Also, as to the drying thing... Are you leaving your hair dripping wet and air drying? I squeeze the excess out before I hop out of the shower, then I scrunch in my product, then I scrunch with a t-shirt. If you find that doesn't work for you, because your hair will still be damp, you could always blow-dry over a plop to totally protect your curls from ruffling and frizzing.
modCG since April 2008!
i squeeze the excess water out and sometimes dry with a t shirt, but i'm scared that my hair will go crunchy if its drier and then i put product on. maybe thats just me being paranoid?
i'll try the blow drying whilst plopping thing and the scrunch with a t shirt after products, thank you
