It did nothing for my hair at all..... It is watery, and I just didn't notice any effects other than the scent which was lovely...so if you wanna use it as a herbal hair perfume that's all I would get from it.

:D Hair perfume, that's funny. Thanks for the info. I'm going to try to dilute my olive oil and use it as a moisturizer before I put my gel in my hair.

I was just gonna post about this stuff. I also got the black vanilla and it FOAMED up when I applied it to my hair. I used it with the Curling Custard and it made these huge bubbles in my hair. Very weird stuff and then th esmell started making me sick so I washed it out and started over again.
Thick coarse 4b hair. Holy Grail: Kinky-Curly Curling Custard. Trying to grow it to bra strap length. Currently collar bone length.

I LOVED the black vanilla leave in. However, it was not something that I use when my hair was out, only when I am wearing twists. Very good as a spritzer/moisturizer/revitalizer for my twists and keeps the hair from drying out.

Just gotta try it and see what you think. Although that's hard to do with CD's prices...
A little bit of everything on this head...

I just reviewed this product on my site, www.afrobella.com. I like the Black Vanilla. It smells heavenly, and yes foamed upon application (as other leave-ins do), but made my curls pretty and defined. I'd recommend it.

I got this product in a swap a few weeks ago. I couldn't figure out how to use it, although the smell is delightful. I now hand mix it with my Giovanni direct-leave in.

I got a sample from Sephora and I love it! It does foam, but I agree that this helps clump and define the curls. Once it dries, the hair feels incredibly smooth and supple. It smells delicious, but like most Carol's Daughter products, the smell is quite strong.

Portae, how does the Carol's Daughter compare to the Elasta oil moisturizer or Africa's Best Olive oil moisturizing hair lotion? I ask because you wrote in another post that you were going to try them and compare.

    Thanks
