Most silicones are harmless. It's just that they tend to build up on a lot of people if you don't shampoo them out. For those that don't use any form of shampoo they aren't good for the hair.

Let us know how it goes!

    Ah! IT WENT WONDERFULLY.
I don't know what did it (probably the honey) but my hair is so soft I can't resist touching it! It's frizz-free and the curls are so well formed! I'll post a pic tomorrow when I'm looking decent, also to see how it works for second day hair :D

loto - the pantene curl cream does have the evil xane ingredient in it - but since you are washing it might not be an issue but if you decide to not shampoo this could cause some issues for you.

This blog can give you some details on ingredients also:

Not an issue but just wanted to let her know she might experience some buildup with that ingredient if she is just co-washing.

Yeah, but as I mentioned I wash every now and then with a low-poo because even though I haven't had build up problems I don't want to start having them now! :P

But I read a CurlChemist article about how one particular set of 'cones (and I think this was one of them) are considered non-water soluble because, well, they're not, but they will evaporate anyway. I figured this would make it semi-OK to use it :)
