Lush The Big Tease

Anyone else using this gel/cream? I used it yesterday for the first time over Ohm SHP and had the most shiny, frizz-free hair. I think I'm in love. It smells really fresh and I didn't mind the linger at all. I picked it up remembering it mentioned a while back in Helloitsio's blog I believe. I'm curious about their other hair care stuff too, especially the block henna/indigo.

Oh, no. Now you've done it...

I have to go to LUSH now. And that means I'll have to spend a gajillion dollars. =(

No, seriously, I love LUSH so I'm totally going to buy this to give it a shot. I'll grab samples of the other two gels too while I'm at it.

Lol! I've talked about this gel before but no one ever really spoke up about it! http://www.naturallycurly.com/curltalk/showthread.php?t=45313

I like it. My only problem with it is that on its own, it tends to make my hair feel a bit rough/dry. However, I've used it over [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink] and really, really liked it. I do plan on repurchasing it as a finishing gel.

The scent is amazing (my sisters always ask what I'm wearing when I use it) and the hold is pretty good.

It's also got some pretty good reviews on MUA. King of the mods, their light hold gel, also has some good reviews. I haven't tried it yet because I prefer harder holding gels.

Just a side note: goth juice contains lemon juice so I'd be careful if you don't want to lighten your hair color.

I'm a longtime LUSH user, but I gave up their hair products because they're too drying for my hair. Then I went CG and they don't work at all for that. I didn't even check out their gels when they released them a couple of years back because why bother. Ha. How wrong I was.

It's the soap, shower gel and face stuff there that I love. It's trouble.

Used this again today and still no frizz. YAY! After all the trouble I've had with gels this summer I'm a happy camper.

Testing The Big Tease today with [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Curl-Junkie-CoffeeCoco-Curl-Creme-p-488.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=curl-junkie-coffeecoco-curl-creme]CJCCCC[/buylink] as my curl creme. Already I enjoy the fragrance but I'm concerned because it only felt slightly rubbery in my hands so I put substantially more in than I probably should have. I hope my hair doesn't become hard as a rock.

I have a slight love affair with Lush...how did the big tease work with the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Curl-Junkie-CoffeeCoco-Curl-Creme-p-488.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=curl-junkie-coffeecoco-curl-creme]cj cccc[/buylink] (since i'm having a love affair with that too)?

Actually, it turned out really well. I've got big clumpy ringlets with volume. I was a little worried so I touched a bit too much before I was totally dry so I lost a bit of definition and ended up with a bit of frizz as a result. It would have been better without the premature touching.

The pros: great definition and hold w/ softness.
The con: not enough shine. I don't know if this is a function of the CJCCC, the Big Tease or the combo. I'll have to use a bit of pomade next time.

I also picked up King of the Mods when I was at LUSH. It's the softest gel they have so I plan to use it as a curl creme/leave-in under BRHG to test it out later this week.
