Their Tea Tree Triple Treat conditioner and shampoo are my regular co-wash and low-poo - excellent for scalp issues. Their Direct Leave-In conditioner is a good not-too-heavy leave-in. All three are quite popular here.

Have never used their deep conditioner or even "heard" anyone talking about it here . . . .
    2C/3A/3B - modified CG - fairly fine now, normal/low porosity/normal elasticity

Current Main Rotation: MG217 medicated or Aim2Health 'poos for scalp, Elucence cond., Spiral Solutions Protein & Deeply Decadent Cond., CJCCCC reg or lite,CJ Pattern Pusha,, Giovanni LA Hold Hair Spritz + lots more, sporadically

HG Method: Super Soaker + Smasters-ing, brief upside down diffusing w/360o diffuser then clips/clamps & air dry. Newly gray - stopped my henna glosses!

I tried the suset styling lotion (think that's what it was called) but it didn't do anything much for my hair, not sure why I bought it actually! I probably thought it might help with frizz (it didn't).

I didn't know they made a deep conditioner but I really liked the smooth as silk co.

First let me say, I don't care for BRHG--it leaves my hair feeling producty. This was wonderful. I think it's a hard hold gel (it says firm or hard on the tube)--and my hair felt great!

Kmack, I love the sample of Fuzzy Duck you sent me, how does the LA Gel compare to this? Wondering because I hate ordering stuff online (sometimes).

I'd say that I like it better, especially if you consider the price difference.

LA Gel was much softer hold than BRHG for me - too soft. I went back to BRHG or LALSG, neither of which feel producty on my hair once scrunched out.

I loved the 50/50 condish over the winter and will be trying it again when the temperatures drop.

I'm pretty sure the deep condish is the Smooth as Silk. I don't like it as much as the 50/50, it left me overconditioned, or something...

Does the Smooth As Silk come in a DT? I used both SAS and 50:50 (not together) and found SAS to be much lighter conditioning that 50:50. I've loved using 50:50 for CO-washing (heavy conditioners work well for me usually) but recently decided it might be too heavy. So I am going to give SAS another whirl for CO-washing.

I've been using Giovanni Direct Leave-In for several months now (not so much right now in the summer) and really like it. A little goes a long way. Doesn't weigh my hair down. I also use Giovanni Smooth As Silk (SAS) low-poo every 3 or 4 days. Again, been using it for a few months and really like it. I also have the SAS condish and was using it on a regular basis back in the spring. But, I've revamped my routine once again and am using less products with better results. My husband loves the 50/50 low-poo and condish. I tried the LA Gel a while back but wasn't too crazy about it. Left my hair feeling producty. But, that might be due to using too many products back then. It might work just fine now that I've streamlined my routine.

    Are you protein sensitive Gemini13?
Anyone try Giovanni Conditioner Root 66 Max Volume? If so, I'd like to hear your experiences with it!

Which Giovanni conditioner would be best (as a rinse-out CO) for someone with hair that loves protein? SAS or Root 66 or 50/50?
I just bought SAS CO because Target has SAS poo and CO on sale right now. Hopefully it will nourish my hair enough!
My follicles are crying for protein right now! :sad5:

    TIA!

I recently bought the Smooth as Silk shampoo and condish, I have used the shampoo as a low-poo 1x and the condish as a rinse out. I liked the products and will continue to use them.... so far so good

I tried the direct leave in conditioner. It was okay but nothing special. I probably won't buy it again. I found that it smelled a bit like a hospital, too.

BUT this product does work for a lot of people. So maybe it's just me. It was worth a shot.

I'm a huge fan of the Smooth As Silk as a rinse-out conditioner--in fact, I'd probably say it's my favorite. Lots of slippage, doesn't leave me feeling weighed down, and makes my curls so, so soft.
Fine, porous 3a with some 3b...
