how do you do heat to help color "take"?

I was thinking about getting one of those attachments for my hairdryer for heat, but I was afraid it was overkill for 45min-1hr.

Then I thought about maybe getting one of those dryers you sit under.

I'm not sure if I can keep my microcap warm for 45min-1hr, and I need heat to get my RC into my grays good.

You'd be surprised how long the micro heatcaps stay hot. Actually, you only need to keep it fairly warm, you don't want it too hot. I use my cap and it stays hot for 30-40+ min. I usually take it off to let the hair follicles close and cool down for 15 min before rinsing off the color. I feel it locks in the color; I think RC mentioned for me to do that, so I always do. Works for me! :D

I'll have to try that! I always just leave the microcap on the whole time!

CurlMart has them. I saw one at Sally's Beauty Supply, but it was more expensive than CurlMart (even with shipping) and looked cheaply made (CurlMart's one is made from terrycloth which is somewhat insulating).
