There is a thread about this product in the 4A board but thought I would check here too. Anyone tried them? The ingredients looked good at a quick glance and the conditioner had behentrimonium methosulfate high up on the list! They were at my local Rite Aid but not in with the shampoos etc - they were on a end shelf and very limited quantity-wonder if they are seeing if they will sell. I did find it is the same family/company that started Aussie Products. The sold the Aussie brand and are coming back into the business.

That does seem like a nice line. Which are you going to try? They all sound wonderful! I might have a look for them and go with the one that smells the best!

I always go for the moisturizing line typically. It smelled very nice. I am always looking for volume too so I think I will compare the ingredients and go from there.

I know the Aussie line is pretty decent and I had not realized they had sold the company. I wonder if they had to wait a certain time period before they could go back into that line of business-non compete contract or something.

I finally noticed this at Rite Aid today. I was interested in the shampoo in the red bottle, but decided it had too many polyquats and proteins in it.

yes, especially one that's not too highly fragranced. I'm always on the lookout for a cheap condish that's a super detangler/moisturizer.

I tried the ren pure moisturizing condish. (red bottle) I love it. I am a 4b with very tight coils. it has great slip and really is very moisturizing.

I also picked up the red one-moisturizing. I will check it out tomorrow and report in. It seems to have some proteins in it so people with hair that does not like protein this probably would not be one for you. I will post the ingredients tomorrow.

This condish has great slip as naiha1 noted. I also used too much as it is one of those conditioners that kinda expands in your hair (which I like). I probably used a plum sized amount and could have used 1/2 that. It detangled wonderfully. No overpowering scent either. Rite Aid has these products on sale right now too. What I also liked is that it rinsed out good too-sometimes conditioners with a lot of slip leave a film in my hair or feel like they are not rinsing out (I am talking about you Loreal Nutra Vive!!) but this one rinsed nicely as well. I cannot find the ingredients online so I will post them later.

I wanted to add that my hair liked the proteins in this condish. My hair was bouncy again. I also noticed it was very shiny but not sure if that was the condish or the BHRG.

I succumbed and bought the red one, along with a Samy curl cream product. I like that the Renpure has Behent. methosulfate right up there. Very unusual in a drugstore brand under $10.00

Jillipoo just taught me that polyquats in shampoos are rarely "bad". So, maybe I'll have to give the shampoo a try. My hair can tolerate most proteins except wheat. Does anyone know which protein is in the shampoo?

Ok..here are the ingredients for the red bottle of condish-the moisturizing one. For whatever reason, even though my hair is not a fan of oils, this condish works for me.

water, cetearyl alcohol, behentrimonium methosultate, cetrimonium chloride, peg-10 sunflower glycerides, olea europaea (olive)fruit oil, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, punica granatum (pomegranate) extract, hydrolysed silk pg-propyl methylsilanediol crosspolymer, olea europaea (olive) leaf extract, persea gratissima (avocado) oil, triticum vulgare (wheat) flour lipids, tocopheryl acetate, panthenol, guar hydroxpropyltrimonium chloride, glyceryl stearate, peg-100 stearate, glycerin, myristic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, polyglyceryl-3 distearate, polysorbate 60, citric acid, trisodium ethylenediamine disuccinate, diazolidinyl urea, iodopropynyl butylcarbamate, fragrance

I avoid all products with the bolded ingredient as it is known to be comedogenic according to this list. So, I'll be taking a pass on this conditioner - just as well, since I have a bunch already!

And if it does have BM right at the top of the list, there are a ton of cones in it :)

I used it this morning, and it is slippery. If your oil sensitive it does have a fairly high oil content. I noticed it, but it did a good job for the first use. I wouldn't use it as a leave in.

SBB that is why I am surprised my hair likes this due to the oils-typically my hair does not like them that much but maybe it's the amounts in this or something. I am a regular washer so I used it again yesterday-but used much less and still good results.

Did you find the smell ok? I am good with it. I was worried as some of their prior products under the Aussie brand were a bit smelly for me.

Unfortunately, none of the retailers listed on the website are near me. Has anyone found these products at a retailer not listed on the Renpure website? I'd love to try these!
    Somewhere between a 2c & 3a
    Liking:
    -Suave Naturals or VO5 (co-wash)
    -GVP Conditioning Balm (conditioner)
    -L'Oreal Vive Pro Nutrigloss (conditioner)
-Giovanni Direct Leave-in or GVP Conditioning Balm as leave-in
-Flax seed gel (my favorite right now)
    -KCCC
    -Biotera Gel
    -HETT mousse
I have bangs now, and I love 'em!

I just bought the red (moisturizing) and orange (volumizing) conditioners. Ingredients look good. I got them at Rite-Aid but they weren't on sale (maybe sale ended?). Love the bottles! They are 13.5 fl oz so a good size even though they look kind of short and chubby

I did look at the shampoo's but they have cones in them (the A cone if I remember) and cones are no good for me at all ever regardless of water solubility. The only product I use now with cones is my Abba Gel and I may stop that soon as my hair is getting increasingly limp and the curls are not as good lately.

Not to guano but I also found some LVPNG (the good one!) so I bought the 2 bottles they had left. Figured if I didn't like it someone would!

I'll post once I use. Fragrance seems fine on both.

Update: Used the orange bottle volumizing condish. It's o.k. I did keep my curls all day even though my hair is very soft and a little too silky. I'm pretty impressed. I do not think I could use this as a leave in but it did not leave any film or residue behind like LVPNG did to me.

I think this condish would work pretty well on anyone who can handle the small amount of protein in it. I can say that it compares, to me, with the LVPNG in terms of slip and detangling--but the real test will be on my daughter's hair for this as mine does not really get tangled. I'll update the post once we do her hair with it as well.

    A bit of guano:
I think I have finally figured out what the culprit may be in my problems lately with conditioner that feels like it leaves my hair too slippery or silky: That Beh Methosulfate'y thing that everyone loves for slip and de-tangling. This is practically the only common ingredient in most of the conditioner's that are leaving my hair just too smooth and silky and then, within a few hours, usually limp and lackluster (excepting this condish which did not cause that!). I checked and all the condish's that I've disliked have this amongst the first 5 ingredients. I don't think it is the other ingredients like water or aloe vera because those otherwise work well for me.

Also anyone else look at the shampoo's? I do think I saw the Acone in them but I only checked the red and orange so maybe I'll zip back tomorrow and look at the green one. I wish it didn't have the cone as it is very tough for me to find a good shampoo that is not SLS or ALS to use occasionally (I'd like to have more options than just GTTTT but nothing else I've tried has worked!)

I just tried the red one. I really like it. It worked well (i.e. slip, clumps, detangling) and it smelled a little strong at first but it faded once my hair dried it smelled faint but still very nice.

I picked up the red one today at Walgreens. The shape of the bottle is deceiving....I thought it was only 8 oz but it's 13+, yay. I like the scent. They didn't have any other conditioners but the red one...and the red and green shampoos. I'm going to look at Krogers next time I'm in for the orange and green conditioners. Anyone still using and liking these?

I just bought my first Renpure conditioner and I'm using the red one, as well. I love it! It seems a little thin to me when I first apply it but, if I let it sink in, it begins to spread really easily. I'm hoping I can find this on sale locally so that I can stock up!

OMG Curlykey run from the shampoo!!!! Not good, left me feeling really coated and just weird....not protein overload weird just really strange like after I've used hairspray?? It's so hard to describe but it's a similar reaction I've gotten from other "low" poos. Seriously, I do better with an SLS when I want to clarify.... I used the green one, they had a rebate which is the only reason why I even tried. Thank goodness I didn't waste a whole $6.99

The A-cone didn't deter me to try it, but who knows maybe that as part of the problem too? Nah, don't feel like trying the condish I'm perfectly content with CJ and Darcy's. I've still got too much drugstore type condish that is just OK don't need to another to the product graveyard!:sad8:

We use this occasionally because it's got really good slip for detangling for Tahia's hair. It's not my favorite (again with the chemical smell and it lingers. YUCK for me...Tahia doesn't mind it)...and it works o.k.

I got mine BOGO at CVS and also got the rebate..so basically I got both of them for free :) I figured if we didn't like it I have enough co workers who might LOL

I am having such a great hair evening, I don't want to go to bed and mess it up!

I used the Renpure conditioner in the red bottle (moisturizing) as my co-wash this afternoon and LOVED IT! :love7: (They just recently started selling it in my local Walgreens and CVS drugstores... YAY!)

I found the scent pleasantly mild, and it has great slip. My curls are bouncy! Not all poofy like they usually get. My hair is so happy, I can cry!

@DEL - my hair tends to like what your hair likes, so I wish I had seen your post before last night when I bought this stuff. I bought the Renpure conditioner - Red Bottle. It did absolutely nothing for my hair - even had a sort of protein effect on my hair:(. I really wanted to like this one, but I won't be buying again:disgust:
