Set It Free Before or After Gel

I am still a novice here and was wondering if I should use Set It Free before applying gel or on top of it before placing the clips in my hair. Which works best?

I have used it both ways. I prefer to use it before gel. I spray it on my hands and rake it through my hair. I put a little extra on areas that are frizz prone. HTH!

i use it after the gel. first i leave in some conditioner, then rake in gel, then i spray set it free on top and bottom of head, then rake it thru, then scrunch.
you have to experiment with the amount -- more in humidity.

btw, hipchick, have you gotten your hair cut yet?? if so, what do you think? (i know it would be the first of two necessary cuts, right?)

I did get it cut rbb and it is an improvement but it is still so thinned out from the butcher job earlier. When it is wet it looks so thin and awful but it dries pretty well. The front is especially hard to style as that was thinned earlier and it was thin to begin with! I think it will take a few cuts to get it back in shape. I am glad I went to Carlos though--thanks!
