I don't think many people on here use hairspray. It is quite drying on the hair and makes my hair crispy feeling and I can't scrunch that out. Plus, even "extreme" hold ones don't work as well as gel or mousse for me.
Cleanser: Liquid Castile Soap diluted in a foaming soap dispenser
    Rinse:
    ACV rinse
    Detangler/Conditioner:
Oyin Handmade Greg Juice or Juices and Berries
Stylers: Botticelli Botanicals Styling Mudd, KCCC, Honey Rinses and BRHG, Crack Leave-in Hair Cream when straightening

Tools: Silk pillowcase, Floursack towels, Jersey T-Shirts, Wide Tooth Comb, Velecta Paramount TGR-VQX Hair Dryer (for when I straighten) and BaByliss PRO Ionic Rollabout Hard Hat Dryer

I think the reason people believe that hairsprays in general 'aren't CG' is because they have such a high alcohol content which will dry out your hair and cause damage.

    Ok, I'll step up. :laughing2:

I am an old school Jersey girl from the '80's early '90's. I have always used hairspray. I just can't give the stuff up. I use a lot less now than I did, but hairspray is a must for me still. I just don't feel complete without it.

I use TRESemme Smooth Frizz Shield Finishing Spray. It has blue writing on it. It's light and lets my curls seperate so my hair moves and is touchably soft. I don't need much, but I do like that I can ward off the frizzies and I get my spray fix.

That is really my only non-cg friendly product I use every day. I don't see much build up left on my hair and when I either water wash or co-wash, it all seems to come out.

I will also use hairspray. I really like Joico ICE shaping hair finisher spray. Comes in a huge can and smells really nice. It also has a 'soft' hold-my hair does not look like a helmet. I do not use it daily but when I really want my hair to 'stay' I will use it. I also have a can of Redken Quick Dry but I do not use that one as much because I love the smell of the other one much better. I use so many products that provide my hair a lot of moisture I am not worried about the alcohol in the hair spray.

I use hairspray too, and I'm pretty sure it's not CG LOL. Basically I use it in the afternoon after I've SOTC'd. I use Herbal Essence "Set Me Up." Basically I use it on my roots and spray a little onto curls to hold them a little longer, then scrunch it in and it helps my curls spring up.

I'm not CG, so here are the ingredients... if I remember right the "peg" means it's ok right?

    Ingredients:

Ingredients: water, dimethyl ether, sd alcohol 40, va/crotonates/vinyl neodecanoate copolymer, acrylates copolymer, bambusa vulgaris leaf/stem extract, cereus grandiflorus (cactus) flower extract, fragrance, propylene glycol, aminomethyl propanol, glycereth-7 triacetate, ammonium benzoate, peg-8 dimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane, cyclohexamine, acetamide mea.
