How long does everyone leave RC colour on to cover new grey

I WILL be doing a strand test, but as that varies between 15 minutes for initial check and 45 minutes, I was just curious if there was any concensus on how long most need to leave the RC colour on to cover their new growth greys....

Thanks!

I leave on my roots for 40-45 minutes, and at around 30 minutes pull the color through to my ends. I also found the RC colors on my run darker than the colors shown.

I leave it on for 50-60 min on the roots, and about 15 min on the ends/rest. I use a micro heat cap to keep it warm for the first 40 min or so, removing to work color thru the ends. And yes, the colors do run darker than the swatches for us curlyheads. :) Did you choose a couple of shades lighter than you think you'll need?

I'm still experimenting and doing osmething different every time I dye, but today I did 30 minutes on the roots and another 30 on the rest, with heat the whole time, and it seemed to work great. I'm excited!

If you put it on roots first, then try to "pull it throught" to the ends for the last 30 minutes, isn't it already dry? It seems as though the RC Color dries on roots, making it difficult to pull it through :?

yeah, i don't really "pull it through", I just put more dye on the ends after a certain period of time.
