three a. :sleepy4:I have always been a curly girl who always wanted straight hair till my old hairdresser convinced me to go curly. I have been styling my hair for about three years and my hair keeps getting better and better. I have a variety of routines but have cut down on experimenting products and found a good stylist who cuts my hair (although he cuts it wet, its hard to find one where I live, but I am happy with him).
I dont love my current leave-in (tigi curls rock). Anyone try those new Curl Junkie Banana and Hibiscus Leave-Ins? I want to try it cause I absolutely love thier Deep Condish. Feedback anyone?

Abba Nourishing and the Sally's knock off of Nexxus Humectress are my favorite leave-ins for store purchases. For online purchases, nothing beats elucence IMO!
These two provide moisture and hold, so are all in one with no gel needed:
Garnier Fructis soft curl cream
Dep soft curl cream
The two kinky curly stylers are very good too, but I need to mix in some gel or layer gel over top, and use very little amounts of the styler. Jojoba Jelly is the better of the two, but not easy to buy. Curling custard is also good.
Curls curl souffle and the CurlyQs custard are decent/ok. Not my favorites, but still moisturizing with good ingredients. (avoid the whipped cream, unless you like really super heavy creamy leave ins)

Finally found one I like! Pantene Hydrating Curls leave-in comb-in treatment. it's gentle enough to use every day. I used it after shampoo & reg. conditioner, combed it into towel dried hair and it made my hair soooo soft and the curls lasted for 2nd day hair beautifully, after I slept w/my hair in the 'pineapple'!!(hair on top of head in scrunchie) AND... you can buy it in your local drugstore.
Like a lot of other people I enjoy GF curl and shine leave-in. Also, what I've done before is taking a little bit of VO5 and putting it in after rinsing out my normal condish.
I have a sample of this from sistas place. Maybe I'll try tomorrow. How do you use it and do you put a gel over it?
I use it pretty sparingly on soaking wet hair. It's really thick so a little goes a long way. So thick I can't squeeze it out of the flip top, I must take the top off. Plus I highly recommend storing it upside down, because it'll take you all morning to get it out if you don't. I do use it under a gel, specifically Biotera. Although I have also used it on it's own when I have no where special to go. It really makes my hair soft and although it can weigh it down if I use too much, I don't mind that so much when I need the extra frizz control if the humidity is out of control. But the best part is that It has such a simple ingred list:
I love it because it is protein free. I'm sure it would make a great DT if you used a little more and left it in over night too. They make a poo too but it has SLS in it so I won't be using that anytime soon.

Hmm...I'm surprised no one mentioned Giovanni Direct Leave-in because I love it! I liked Abba Nourishing when I used it, and it is comparable in conditioning, however Giovanni detangles my hair SO well, especially on wash days where it seems like the knots will never come out.

Abba Nourishing - very nice (I'm using old formula I think)
PM the Conditioner - (genuine or generic ) very nice
Curls/CurlyQ [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/CURLS-Curls-Milkshake-p-884.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=Curls-Curls-Milkshake]Milkshake[/buylink] - very good but I'm trying to get something on the ground; also somewhat volume reducing
MOP leave-in - too rich (good as a rinse-out)

That's been my holy grail leave-in for quite some time.
I just want to try going cheap for now. If the Garnier Fructis Curl & Shine or Sleek & Shine Leave-ins don't work, I'll go back to the ABBA.
[buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Curl-Junkie-CoffeeCoco-Curl-Creme-p-488.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=curl-junkie-coffeecoco-curl-creme]Curl Junkie Coffee Coco Curl Creme[/buylink] is my absolute favorite leave-in curl enhancer! They make several, but this is the only one I love. I need to top it off w/ a little gel, but it's still a great product.
It's amazing to me that this works for a 3 as well as a 4a -- go figure. I tried it this morning (hot, humid, rainy). First cleansed with Blended Beauty conditioning cleanser, then applied the SheaMoisture leave-in (I tried mixing with water, then diluted it with Jane Carter [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jane-Carter-Solution-Condition-and-Sculpt-p-159.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=the-jane-carter-solution-condition-sculpt]condition & Sculpt[/buylink] lotion which I use like CurlKeeper). Then put Angell over. Liking it! It's very humid today and my hair is holding up. Maybe I need more moisture rich products in the summer, because this combo is very moisturizing.
I also like Beauty without Cruelty leave-in. It's lighter but nicely moisturizing and forming. And Abba Nourishing.
