I need help...I have somewhere between 3b and 4a hair. My hair is really wavy when it is low but I wanna grow out my hair for the summer. As my hair grows it becomes real fuzzy and curly and is way off from what I want.
This is kinda what my hair looks like when it is grown:

Hey this style is definitely possible to achieve without relaxing, and I hope you won't take that route. All you need is a good leave-in conditioner and/or a good gel. You can try either the Curlisto Method or shingling. They are basically the same technique. Just applying leave-in conditioner and/or gel to smaller sections of hair. I will post some links for you of both methods, and you could also try searching these methods in the 3c/4a sections. I hope this helps! There's a guy that hangs out in the 3c/4a sections whose screen name is CurLee, and maybe he could help you out as well.

    Curlisto Method:

Libra those are some great videos you posted.

But I bet CurlyGuy has the same problem my son does. They just don't want to spend that much time on there hair. You know clipping, dividing, diffusing etc.

I know it is difficult because all the info I find is normally for women.

CurlyGuy what do you currently do with your hair? What products do you use? How much time are you willing to spend on it? And how many products do you want to use?

I dont have any problem spending time on my hair. I dont wanna spend over 60 dollars on hair products either though. Two that seems to interest me are the kinky-curly and the curlisto products. The result from these look great. I would just like to now how to use them and which is really better for me(I want soft bouncy curls).

That is great CurlyGuy. Wish my son felt the same way.
