Satin Scarves 4 Hair?

AlannahAngelAlannahAngel Posts: 529Registered Users
I've been watching DPrincess28's videos on YouTube about curly hair and I noticed that she wraps her hair in a satin scarf every night. I heard that they're good for curls because they prevent the friction of the cotton from your pillow case on your hair. Does any aussie on here know where I can get one? Maybe I could resort to a satin pillow case instead but if someone knows where I can get one from that would be awesome =]

Not something I've ever looked for but it sounds like the sort of thing DJ's would sell.

You can get silk scarves in alot of retail stores these days. I got given a lovely one for my birthday, from cotton on. Also places such at the tie rack (think that's it's name) usually have a good range.

Just remember to check the label to see whether it's silk or not.

I did give it a go awhile back but never figured out a way to get it to stay on - i'm a restless sleeper most of the time.

In terms of satin pillow cases you can get them at spotlight in a pretty decent range of colours.
I've found in the past that I get less frizz and my hair seems to stay cleaner (weird) with satin pillow cases, but I have a nightmare of a time trying to find one for my favourite pillow (u-pillow, banana pillow or other various names)

Thanks I might settle 4 the satin pillow case, but if I go to DJ soon I might look for one, I'm crazy in my sleep and the scarf is probably gonna fall off so the pillow case is prob the best way to go
Thanx for your help guys xoxo

I FOUND SOME!!! In priceline there is a pack of elastic plastic headbands & two satin scarves, and in Diva (you know the jewelry store) there is a black satin scarf on sale too. Picked both of them up & theyre really good, I wear them as headband 2, lol

    Hey Ladies!

I found the absolute BEST scarf ever that I have found doesn't crush my curls when I sleep and when I flat iron my hair and wrap it at night, it stays silky smooth as well.

    Check it out!! Welcome

They have both satin scarves and nylon. I like the satin when I wear my hair curly and the nylon for flat irons.

I've went through quite an ordeal trying to find a good satin wrap. I bought a couple from the hair store, but they are so cheap and they fall apart like I don't know what. I know that you can get a good kids hair wrap at Satin Hair Wraps by KiddieWraps
