Hair Styling/Product Advice

Hi Everyone I am trying to learn how to semi control my curly hair. I am of mixed descent and have a mixture of 3b-3c depending on the day it seems. It is probably 4-5" long right now and I am attempting to grow it out in a controlled fashion. Ultimately I am trying to get it as close to Adrian Grenier style curly hair. My biggest problem, it seems, is getting the curls to loosen. It seems like my curls are too wound up and I would like them to be a little looser to wavy. I am trying to achieve a loose look, not the puffy fro look that I have right now. Let me know if someone has good advice. My profile pic is pretty recent too http://www.naturallycurly.com/curltalk/member.php?u=54853. Thank you very much for your feedback.

I'm not really sure, I would love to find out how to loosen my curls myself... but actually for my hair.. half of it are these waves and the other half are curls.. tight and looser.. I really have no idea how to achieve it for the whole head..
    Anyone else know?

I'm in the same boat as you and I also would like to know the answer to this.

    Rollersets, bantu knot outs?

These styling methods would loosen your curls. It's been discussed often on these forums, and you can find tons of videos (youtube), websites, blogs, etc. that explain the process.

My staples: Mane n Tail (cowash), Garnier Fructis Sleek n Shine (leave in condish), Grapeseed oil or shea butter (sealing), Organic Root Stimulator Elasticitea (leave-in condish & light hold)

Try a two-strand twist set. That'll loosen them up.
