What are your biggest time wasters?

FreeCurlsFreeCurls Posts: 4,408Registered Users
Lately I've noticed how much time I spend on things that are really time wasters and it's amazing to realize just how much time I spend merely WASTING time (should I cue that DMB song here? :)) I was wondering, what are your biggest time wasters and what would your replace that activity with if you chose to?

Mine are:
Internet
TV
Telephone

I should replace them with more hobbies, more exercise and maybe take up letter-writing again. I used to write letters a lot when I chose to live without a telephone for a year. It was a nice way to communicate. It almost felt more personal.

    Internet, more specifically this site.
Fat does not make you fat. It's actually pretty important.

    Me to

ideally I would like to say I would replace it with exercise but  not sure if that would happen. Although I deffenetly could use it. It's not that I don't like to exercise because I do it's just the act of getting up and starting but once I do I enjoy it and feel better about myself

    Me too.

At work - getting more work done.

At home - cleaning, cooking, taking better care of my house and my husband.

The internet at work, I really have no idea how I made it thru a working day without dropping dead from boredom when I had no access to the internet.

At home a combo of the tv and the internet, those two can suck up time faster than anything.

If we're counting reading as a hobby, then definitely my biggest timewaster is the internet.

And like Lisa, I have no idea how I got through a workday without dying of boredom. Vive le internet!

After my dad died, my mom made a rule that she couldn't pick up a book until after 5:00, because otherwise she'd spend the whole day reading. :D

I should make a rule that I can't log onto the internet until after the kids go to bed, because that's my big time-waster.

I can stay off the internet as long as I don't pick up my laptop. If I have to look something up or anything, though...it's all over. Once I get started, it's like crack.

I'm not online a lot in the evenings or on most weekends simply because HOURS would go by with me not accomplishing anything.
