G Gordon Liddy is a fraking moron

First, he refered to the Spanish language as "Illegal Alien," then he said that it's bad that the Court is getting (or is probably getting whatever) a Latina judge because the Court isn't supposed to be a representative body, and then he said he hoped key issues don't come up when she's PMSing because then WHO KNOWS what she'll do.

Do Repubblicans still claim this moron as one of theirs?

Fun Fact: When you actively avoid being “PC,” you’re not being forward-thinking or unique. You’re buying into systems of oppression that have existed since before you were even born, and you’re keeping those systems in place."

Someone's nationality or gender has nothing to do with their ability to interpret the law and then make a decision based on the facts presented. I wouldn't claim someone for being Republican, Democrat, or Libertarian but I would look into their past performance...or make sure I'm wearing clean socks before saying something like that - foot in mouth, ya now?

He's always been an idiot. I was a board operator during his show when first started working at a talk radio station in high school (on the local level). I was thrilled when I got moved to a different shift and didn't have to listen to his annoying voice anymore.

Liddy's not the only one. Newt Gingrich is sure that Sotomayor is a racist. And of course, there's Pat Buchanan, who can't believe that a Hispanic woman would qualify for this position over white males. I've been avoiding reports on Limbaugh, Levin, and Savage - they're probably way too hateful for my tastes. So much for talk of a post-racial America.

Can we really blame the Right? They're just trying to protect the rights of poor white men before these radical minorities trample all over them! THOSE PEOPLE are taking over OUR government! EVERYBODY PANIC!!!

The funny thing about this is that Sotomayor is actually quite moderate:

Honestly, I can't believe that conservatives are coming out with all of these racist and sexist arguments (for lack of a better word), attempting to label Sotomayor a "bold ideological choice," when Obama is obviously trying to stay middle-of-the-road on some key issues here. All this groaning, hair pulling, and teeth gnashing is especially inappropriate when one remembers that OBAMA WON THE ELECTION BY A LANDSLIDE. In November, the American people gave him the go ahead to make bold ideological choices, and he's really been holding back. Conservatives should be thankful to be getting even table scraps.

Until I think 1965 or 66, the qualification for being a U.S. Supreme Court judge was being a white male. In 1980, Ronald Reagan campaigned that he'd appoint a woman to the Supreme Court. In 1991, the only people George Bush considered to replace Thurgood Marshall were black and he chose the one with the least judicial experience, not the most qualified.

More of a chance she is having hot flashes than pms'ing!! I believe I heard she was born in 1954 or something like that. Of course, there were moments during hot flashes I was as bad as pms'ing!! (Hope everyone knows I am joking about him making this statement to begin with.)

I think her credentials and qualifications sound exemplary.
