Is there any possible way to scent a product without thinning it out & affecting how it works?

Mix your product and then add fragrance last.Mine doesn't get thined out.

All I've bought so far is lavender e.o. and I only use a couple drops. I've never had it thin out like that. What were you going to use to scent your stuff?

I was going to scent Karen's Body Unscented items. I thought I was going to use Lavender Essential Oil and/or Lemon EO. Unless I buy some yummy body-safe dessert scent stuff at Hobby Lobby or Micheal's. :dontknow:

Maybe I'm misunderstanding ya. Just put a couple drops of your e.o.'s in and that should give it a nice scent w/out diluting it at all. If you want pour some of your product into an empty bottle and go from there, adding drops until it is just the right scent.

OK, maybe I went too heavy on the scents before with something, but then I was trying to mask a scent the item came in/with.

I'll give it a try then, thanks!

Essential oils are incredibly potent, so you'd be adding only a few drops in most cases, not enough to thin out your product. I think it's best not to heat the EOs as heat can damage the scent. I just finished a batch of scented shea butter, and it smells so good!

I decided not to do this because the cost of buying the item unscented & buying the scent oil would outweigh the cost of buying it already scented.

    Thanks anyhow everyone!
