Lighter alternative to jojoba oil

I've been using jojoba oil as my moisturizer for a few months. It was great during the winter, but now that the weather's warmer, it seem to be too heavy for my skin and I keep getting an oily sheen by mid-day. Is there a similar oil that's good for skincare but is lighter?

Plain hyaluronic acid is a very light, yet still effective moisturizer.

I second the hyaluronic acid! Its the best! If you feel like you need somemore emollience, try a few drops of squalane with your HA. Squalane disappears into your skin & leaves behind a "matte" almost dry/powdery finish, but is still very moisturizing! Nice stuff!

Squalane is very comedogenic. It's an olive oil derivative and tends to make zits for those susceptible.

Really? Wow! I didn't know that! It's funny, because my skin is oily & prone to breakouts & my skin is loving the squalane! It absorbs right away & doesn't make me get oilies throughout the day. I haven't got any more breakouts since I've started using it. Maybe I'm just lucky?

Thanks, everyone. I'll look into HA.

Phoenix, how do you use diluted honey? And what ratio of water:honey? This is intriguing.

After you wash your face, leave it wet and get a dab (dime sized) of honey on your finger tip. Dot it all over your face and massage in. Let dry.

I second the honey. I put a pea sized amount in my palm, spray with rosewater, emulsify then apply. It has lots of healing properties too.
