Best organic shampoo/conditioner?

I have gone through TONS of shampoos and conditioners. Heard great things about Pantene Pro V hydrating curls...but it made my hair feel extremely dry. Spent tons of money on all different shampoos/conditoners but they still gave that same dry effect. I want a shampoo/conditoner that has a nice natural smell and nice ingredients. One that has slip (like the youtube girls say lol)
Any suggestions? and preferably one that is easily accessible
thanks.

I read from Kathymack's review that the Komaza Califia Care line carry a fabulous shampoo and conditioner. Have you begun co-washing? It's a method of washing curly hair by scrubbing and massaging conditioner onto your scalp like you would with a shampoo. I haven't shampooed since I began co-washing when I turned CG seven weeks ago, and my hair is a lot better because of it. My hair doesn't get dirty because I stay away from ingredients such as mineral oil, petrolatum/petroleum, and water-insoluble silicones.

Confused about porosity

The Giovanni LI has protein. As your hair is coarse, it probably doesn't like too much protein.

I also sometimes use Theraneem shampoo, and it's very gentle. It just makes my hair a little too soft to use all the time.
If I didn't need the tea tree or neem oil for my scalp, I'd probably usually use Terax Collagene most of the time - it's very gentle. Pricey, although it takes little and lasts me a long time, and I don't know of anywhere you can buy it locally. I got it from drugstore.com/beauty.com. based on recommendations/reviews on makeupalley.com. As you can tell by the name, it has protein, but I think they have other formulations that don't.
Alternatively, I might try harder to find a 'poo bar that I really like.
Off topic, Auntie Bubbs, how do you use Manipulator? On wet or dry hair? Just curious since you say it's your HG . . . .
ETA: Oops, I forgot this is supposed to be about organic shampoos - I don't think Terax is, although it has a lot of natural ingredients and is better than most commercial 'poos.

Nett, I love manipulator. I use it when my hair is about 80% dry. I rub a bit between my hands and scrunch it evenly, and lightly, up into my curls. It helps to set the definition.
I usually carry a jar in my purse. For some reason, I forgot it when i went to get a hair cut Sat. I have a Deva stylist I go to who is pretty good. Anyway, my hair looked gorgeous, of course
But I found it interesting that I (well, she) got such good curl formation without the manipulator. I may experiment with that. I've used manipulator for like 10 years.

Sorry, just saw this.
Most of us don't use just any old bar. They are handcrafted natural bars made the old fashioned cold process way--saponified oils.

I know people like Giovanni's Tea Tree shampoo/conditioner and I wanted to like it, but it strips the heck out of my hair. Oddly it does so more than my sulphate containing Back To Basics Curl Refreshing shampoo. I like that line and have been using it now since I have decided that I do need to shampoo and I do need at least occassional sulphates. I do wash with the CG method of applying conditioner to the ends every time I lather with the shampoo. Once that bottle is done, the search is on for another shampoo that might work just a bit better, but I find less frizz with that line (although still frizzy because that's just how my hair is).
I love Aubrey Organics B5 design gel for when I blow out my hair or want to have a neater look (the hold isn't very strong but it does condition/protect the hair). But their GPB shampoo left my hair feeling strawlike and their conditioner left it overconditioned.
I tried Avalon Organics with mixed success. I didn't feel it cleaned very well. Their conditioners contain cones.
I have tried Giovanni's Smooth as Silk shampoo which works pretty well but should be alternated with a stronger shampoo because it can cause a bit of buildup.
Despite the admonitions against them, I have found that I need at least occasional sulfates in order to maintain clean hair. I just try to use the gentlest sulfate containing shampoos (just one sulfate) like the Back to Basics line.

I loved bed heads manipulator when my hair was short....I should try it again.

For shampoo, Terressentials pure earth hair wash (i like left coast lemon) leaves no squeakiness at all. i use it about once every couple of months.
Both of those are completely natural.

for my good conditioner, i love the burts bees more moisture. but there is protein in it fairly high on the label so for anyone who is protein sensitive, i would stay away from it.
I agree. EO conditioners are the best:love4:
Hair: naturally very dry and VERY porous
hair seems to be moody.
Does not seem to like oils
Does not like protein or too much?
Does not like rich products
So, I ask myself. What does it like? That is the question, and I'm on a mission.

***natures gate aloe vera for dry/damaged hair.***
it ends up being half as much as the burts bees and works even better than the burts bees more moisture. and it is mostly natural.
Dailywavy, is the Nature's Gate good at detangling? I'm looking for a new conditioner, and tangles are my number one concern. I couldn't tell from the ingredient list whether it had anything in it for detangling:
