To Cut or Not to Cut.. that is the question

I was just looking at some old pics and a couple I took a day or so ago.. I'm realizing that my hair used to have more bounce and curl when it was a bit shorter. I'm assuming the weight is dragging it down somewhat. I've kinda stopped cutting my hair (except for the *very* occasional trim) and though I love having longer hair, I'm wondering if it would be better to cut it.. It's pretty much all one length, but I am open to the possibility of layers as well. Thanks for any suggestions!

It looks lovely in all the pics, but I think I like the first one best -- your hair has a nice shape in that one.
Sorry I wasn't much help. I usually have a definite opinion about hairstyles but yours could go any way

Ditto! I'd try that first and see how you like it. You can always go shorter if you want.. You can't add length once it's gone
1st pic looks good girl!
your hair looks great both ways...it might be weighing down becoz of too much gel or perhaps the oil if you are a regular DT person. :?:
Try a mild sulfate-free shampoo once a month.
If you still want a cut, i'd suggest a V-cut, so that you have some short strands reaching just below your chin (when dry) that bounce all over your face, while the ones at the back are nice and ordered.
I got myself a step cut done some time ago and I am feeling really bad after having done it. You see, my hair is now abt 6-8" and when they curl up, the layers show out as uneven, although when they were cut, they were equally spaced! (yea...i know...I got my hair cut while it was dripping wet...and combed...people aren't experts on cutting curly hair when it is curly..are they?
So think about it...maybe talk to people who have got layers or a V done before...and then step into the salon
HTH!
