Breast soreness--does this sound normal?

Now that Oliver has become more mobile, he has become even more distractible and has very little interest in breastfeeding. He is gradually reducing his nursing and being supplemented with formula bottles. If I'm breastfeeding him less, is it normal for me to have sore breasts? I don't feel engorged at all, just sore. I don't remember this happening with Connor, but maybe it did and I'm forgetting.

Do they both hurt? Is it possible you have a plugged duct?

The only time my breasts hurt was when I was engorged or had a plugged duct. Maybe because Oliver isn't nursing well he's not draining the breast completely.
If you got nothing to bring to the table - don't even bother sitting down.

I was a bit sore when I went back to work when DS was a year, and our nursing schedule was down to twice per day. It went away once my body got used to the new schedule.

I would say it is normal, but you shouldn't stay sore for long.

It's better now. I don't think I had a plugged duct or anything; I think my body was just adjusting to the change. I only felt soreness for a couple days. I just thought it was weird because I didn't feel engorged at all, but now it has passed.
