Did this happen to you?

Since going CG my face has gone haywire. It's crazy. I'm breaking out like crazy and I have no idea what to do.

Did this happen to you? What did you do? Do you have any suggestions?

Well, I'm not "CG", but when I went from almost mid-back to almost collarbone length in front & above the collar in back, I ended up with inflamed pimples on the sides of my neck & on my cheeks.

Now that it was chopped to a touch below my jaw, I have them in those areas & on the back of my neck.

The only way I see a possible way out of it is to rinse my hair off every night & go to bed without a single thing in it.

It's now too short to retain a ponytail, for any length of time. And those terry cloth hair things for using when cleaning your face? Forget it. They slide right off the back of my head. SIGH

Maybe my skin will adjust...? It just stinks because I look young to begin with, but with this I look like I'm 15.

Yep cop pulled me over because I didn't look old enough to drive. I'm almost 21.

    This just stinks....:sad8:

Same here. The products are apparently running down onto my face.

Try washing/rinsing your face after applying hair products. Or maybe even using a skin toner.

I break out from hair products. I wash my face after applying products to my hair and plopping (which I do while in the shower). I also wash my face every night before bed and pull my hair away from my face so that I'm not sleeping in it. That really seems to help.

Yes, I discovered that KBB breaks out my face so badly that I have stopped using it. It doesn't matter if I wash my face after applying the products, my face would still break-out. Oh well.

Would this be the KBB milk or just the products in general? (The milk has wheat germ oil in it, which has a comedogenicity rating of 5, the highest, and scared me away no matter how many raves it got.)
    OMG, LOOK!!

Perhaps, but I only used one bottle of the milk. I was regularly using nectar and super silky. I am sad, because my hair really liked the products, but my hate them. My skin has priority.

CG definitely pis5ed off my skin. I wear one of these to bed at night and it seems to help.

Do you IceQueen? Washing my hair upside down made me break out all over my cheeks. And I never break out.. so I stopped.. no clumps for me anymore ):

Unfortunately yes. My skin is quite sensitive and acne-prone, and at first every conditioner and hair gel and mousse and leave in and whatever made my skin break out. Now I'm only using a basic conditioner and homemade flax seed gel, and this seems to help.

You should try switching products, in my opinion it's pointless to get great hair on top of terrible skin.

I so agree with this, and this is why I stopped using KBB, even though it made my hair look great.

Windflower - what products are you now using for your hair that don't aggravate your skin? TIA!

    2Poodles,

I use Robert Craig conditioner, [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Knot-Today-p-207.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-knot-today-leaveindetangler]KC Knot Today[/buylink] and [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KC Curling Custard[/buylink]. I have also started using Na-PCA by Twinlab.

Sometimes I layer the RC and KCKT and then apply the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink]. Other times, I just use KCNT and then the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink].

Na-PCA directs to rinse after 5 minutes, but I usually just leave it in. I sometimes spray after I have applied the conditioner and before applying the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink]. And sometimes I do a spritz after applying the conditioner and [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink] and styling.

    So far so good...:chef:
