Arc trainer

Anyone use this? I used it for the first time yesterday and it's hard! It looks like it works my butt and thighs more which is what I want(versus the elliptical) but I like the stairmaster for the way it shapes my legs, more long and lean. Running and the elliptical made my legs look not as nice...I'm assuming the arc trainer is more like the ellipitical in that sense.

I love the arc. It gives me a nice, hard workout without taxing my feet or lower calves.

However, since I never seem to see much effect from working out (why oh why is this?), I can't say it's done anything special for my body, besides help me burn calories.

I never did either except when I was running 45 minutes 3 days a week and lifting for an hour twice a week. That is too much to maintain over time for me.

It's been years since I had that regimen and nothing worked until I discovered Callanetics. Callanetics is a bit boring though, so you can add Squeeze by Tracy Effinger, or Total Body Lift by Kathy Smith. These are based on the same system as Callanetics (Lotte Berk), but more active and fun. I swear to you, if you do these for a few weeks you will see a difference.

    Read the reviews on collagevideo.com.

Wow! It's hard to argue with all that praise. The thing is, I like using machines at the gym....I just never see a difference.

I'm going to see if my library has the Callanetics video. Thanks!

    Sorry to Guano, OP!
