What's this process called?

I have heard something that hair sylists can do to your hair to treat it when it has been under product overload...too much product...making your hair weigh down and be flat and not bouncy curls.

Anyone ever hear of this....i want to ask for it at the salon..please let me know.

thanks..sort of a clarifying treatment or something?

Never heard of such a thing but if you're using CG friendly products you wouldn't need this anyway. If you're using products that would Require such a treatment then you should re-think what you're :happy1: your hair!!! By YOU I don't mean YOU obviously Pegmeg ;) There are plenty of ways to clarify gently and effectively using home made treatments and/or a gentle Low Poo.

I'm new to this site..and am unfamiliar with all the products you mentioned...for example..poo, cg etc. can you guide me in the right direction as to how i can start figuring out these terms.

I would like to you use natural products. I've been using John Frieda Clearly Defined syling gel, and regular shampoo..organic kind and Tresseme conditioner. Can you recommend any good products?

i just uploaded a pic of my hair..hopefully it worked so you can take a look.

    THANK you!

Usually a shampoo should get the product out.

    Welcome to the boards, pegmeg.

In the General forum, there's a post (sticky) at the top of the messages that gives definitions for the acronyms and abbreviations you'll see thrown around here.

Laura Lee's blog gives an excellent overview of CG (Curly Girl) routine. /home/leaving?target=http%3A%2F%2Fdormroomcurly.blogspot.com%2F" class="Popup

As to your original question, it sounds like you're talking about a clarifier and as mentioned above just about any shampoo with sulphates will perform that function.
