heat and hair

i have been natural/curly for over 5 years now. for most of that time, I would treck to the salon to get my hair pressed/straightened every two weeks. it wasn't until about a few months ago that i said NO MORE but that is when i noticed that my hair was breaking. my once very healthy hair was now in the comb and all over the sink.

can your hair prefer heat over "no heat" styles? has my hair gotten used to being pressed? should i go back to the falt iron/hot comb?

It's probably damage from all the heat? I don't really know, I used to get my hair straightened/blow dried a lot, for years and I think it's done some damage to my hair, I've been able to get it back on track after a few months.
Mostly 3c and lovin' my curls

This is not a fashion trend, it's not a statement, it's pride for who we are and what we look like. And that is where our true beauty shines.
