Yeah, I have. I dunno what that is. I actually thought there were little crawlies of some sort in my hair, so I run to wash it. This usually only happens though if I really need to wash my hair or have a lot of product buildup on the scalp. Maybe it's the hair's/head's way of telling you you may have a little bit of buildup. Or maybe you just feel your hair growing. Or it's moving because the hair follicles are close to scalp muscle. I know it sounds crazy, but your scalp can move you know.

I had that feeling if I worked out all week and my hair was dirty. (I only washed my hair once a month when it was relaxed.) However, since I have been natural that has not happened. I wash/rinse my hair at least once a week. I did see a Dateline though about people who had threads coming out of their skin and it felt like little bugs. They would scratch until it took out their hair. /home/leaving?target=http%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FMorgellons" class="Popup

What the hell? That's is scary. I too experienced that from time to time when my hair was relaxed...not any more thankfully.

Who knew my first official post on NC would be on a dormant thread about THIS! :laughing6:

I've been lurking on here for about a month now and I've been reading past posts on the 4a/4b sections. Thank GOODNESS someone else out there feels the crawling sensations! There is this one small section on my head that feels like I have bugs crawling around it from time to time. I've actually heard about this Morgellons so you won't believe how many people I've had look at my scalp for bugs or threads. They would always say my scalp looked 100% normal and I would think they just weren't looking hard enough.

Whew...I'm normal! lol I also experience scalp tenderness from time to time that can't be explained by hairstyles/products and I did read on here that this may be linked to the female monthly cycle. Maybe this crawling sensation is also related to the monthly cycle??

I will say since we are talking about tickling on the scalp that Black people do get head lice. I have friends who stand by the fact that "black folks don't get head lice"...and they don't sway from that belief.

Not saying the tickling feeling isn't head lice but if it's noticable on a regular basis...get your scalp checked thoroughly. Preferably by a physician because some people may not know exactly what to look for.

I unfortunately work around kids and among people and go into homes and make myself comfortable, putting my coat on their counches, laying my head back on their head rests, playing with the little kids and I unfortunately somehow, someway contracted head lice. I have type 4c hair and in the beginning, I was a believe that we didn't get head lice. So be mindful of your children as well.
