weather change - help!

Help! With warmer weather (50s F) and humidity (including occasional rain), my HG winter routine (leave-in + curl pudding + BRHG gel for hold) is no longer working.

Recently, I've tried all three of my favorite curl puddings (Komaza, Ohm, and [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]KCCC[/buylink]) with BRHG and my hair just looks over-stressed and product-y. I tried both an ACV rinse and a DT (KBB), and this helped a little but didn't solve the problem entirely.

Yesterday, as an experiment, I tried re-introducing some glycerin into my routine. I paired DM L&T (for curl) with AOMM (for hold). I had great curls, very soft, but not great hold (some frizz). Today, 2nd day hair looks messy.

Clearly, I need to change up my routine to adjust to the warmer weather, but I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

Last summer I used Ouidad climate control gel, which was great, but I've taken such a liking to natural products it's hard to go back.

AOMM is a moisturizing jelly, not a gel. That could be why you didn't get any hold from it. It gives me root curl and helps distribute product--but that's it. Have you tried the AOB-5 gel?

I didn't realize that it was for moisture, not hold. That does explain it. I did have superb curl yesterday (maybe the combo of the DM L&T with the AOMM, or maybe just the L&T). I haven't tried the AO B-5 gel. Does it have good hold? I usually do BRHG or HESMU for hold (and have also used Giovanni gel) but haven't tried B-5. Is that your recommendation for hold?

Today it's raining and I have in just [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/DevaCurl-Angell-p-57.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=devacurl-devacurl-angell]Deva Angel[/buylink] over a leave-in. The lighter combo is nice (not producty), but it's been rainy so a little more hold would be nice. I don't know whether the curl pudding or the BRHG is the problem with the warmer weather.

Since changing over to the more natural products in September, my hair doesn't need as much hold. I won't use the BRHG or the HESMU because of all of the chemicals. The B-5 has more hold then the AOMM, LOL! I put the a little of the [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Curl-Junkie-Curl-Assurance-Aloe-Fix-Hair-Styling-Gel-p-941.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=Curl-Junkie-Curl-Assurance-Aloe-Fix-Hair-Styling-Gel]CJ Aloe Fix[/buylink] in with other products for more hold, when I want it. It's good for volume, too.
