Hi there, I just get a cup of hot water and put the tube of hot oil in it, then shower myself and by the time i come to use the treatment, it should be hot enough to use, i get out the shower, cut the top off the tube and slowly add it to my hair, then plop with a t shirt and leave it on for a couple of hours then wash out, of course you dont need to have a shower when you do this, I suppose you could even leave it on all night, but imho there is nothing more miserable than waking up in the middle of the night and your hair is damp and cold!! Brrrr...no not for me im afraid. hope this helps, ok:happy5:

I wet my hair, then put the heated tubes (I have thick hair) of hot oil on it. I then place a disposable plastic cap on and sit under the hair dryer for 15-20 minutes. For me, I need the heat to be higher than my body heat so that the oil can penetrate the cuticle. Your body heat may just be fine for the hot oil treatment. Afterwards, I shampoo with tepid to cool water, then deep condition.

I just bought one of those candle warmer things. they look like this . i plug this in in the bathroom get a tin cup with water and throw the tube in there. that way i dont have to worry about leaving the tub to get the tube- i just reach over. I found these at a thrift store for 2 dollars! depends on time, i'll just leave it in while i'm showering and rinse out before i'm done. if i have time, i might leave it on for a few hours... depends.
