Can I clarify the routine?

Hi everyone. Maybe I should not have used the word clarify. I read the CG book by Massey and have been trying the routines for almost 5 weeks. I just restarted because I did not clarify wtih a sulfate shampoo and found out that the gel I am using has a sulfate in it...SO...I am starting new!

My question about the routine is this...do I co-wash only once or twice a week, but use leave in/rinse out conditioner every day?

You can do that if it works for you. Wetting your hair everyday isn't a must.You also may find you need to co-wash more often in the beginning (like every other day). Experiment to find out what your hair likes.

There's also a transition period that most people go through as their scalp adjusts to not using harsh shampoo. It may get greasy, but there are things you can do to help with that.

Which sulfate does your gel have? There are some that are ok to use.

Yeah, you're right. That's a bad sulfate. I don't think I've ever seen that in a gel before. Weird.

Yes, and its from a high-end salon too....guess it shows to stick with the cheapies!
