With the help of my 3 daughters, I did my big chop last night 2-28!!! I transitioned for about 4 months, and I am loving my new growth. My hair is longer than I thought it would be with very little shrinkage. I feel 50 pounds lighter...I got my first relaxer when I was 3 yrs old and I am sooooo happy I am finally natural again!!! Thanks to all of you for the wonderful support. I tried to attatch pics, but it didnt work. I will update my fotki with the pics...

Congratulations tedra. Your curls are truly gorgeous. I must agree with MALA, there's a BC bug going around. I'm truly happy for you. In your pics, you truly look happy to be free of the chemical torture and you have a good amount of hair for transitioning only for 4 months. I long for the day when I could do my BC but I want to make it to a year. I'm only 7 months post.... *sigh*.....:happy7:

I love your hair! I love BCs. I almost wish I could do it again to experience that feeling of exhilaration and freedom that I had when I first did it.

BTW Feb 28th was my baby's 3rd birthday. How nice of you to BC on his BD.. LOL j/k

Yes, I really need help taking care of it. All I do is apply veggie glyceren and IC gel. Its ok because it doesnt look dry but I dont like using gel, so need more ideas...got any? BTW, thanks for the kind words ;)

I'm still trying to figure out what my hair likes. So far I have [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Knot-Today-p-207.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-knot-today-leaveindetangler]Kinky Curly Knot Today[/buylink], [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Kinky-Curly-Curling-Custard-p-778.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=kinkycurly-curling-custard]Kinky Curly Curling Custard[/buylink], Fantasia IC gel, and Carol's Daugher Tui Leave in Conditioner. I ordered some new stuff to try this week. What are you using since you don't like gels? I'm looking for some other alternatives.
