Curly friends, help help help!

I've been growing out my hair for over a year with only a few tiny trims here and there. It was the longest it's been in over ten years, but needed some nice shape and a bit of cleaning up. I went to a new stylist (I know, mistake #1, but I live in a new town and my former stylist is a 1000 miles away!).

I should have known to get out of the chair and walk away when the stylist said she was going to straighten my hair before she cut it. I mean, that's the big red flag warning right there, isn't it? (So now we have mistake #2).

Of course, it looked perfectly fine straight and I couldn't get a good sense of the layers, but over the last few days, I realize that the woman basically gave me curly bangs and they look like... !@&;@*!^&!*!

Needless to say, I'm dismayed that I have to wait for this all to grow out. Again. I'm sad that I paid all that money for a bad haircut. And, I'm really sad that I didn't get up and walk out when she busted out the straightening iron. :angry3:

I feel a little better now that I've vented. Thanks for listening. I'm going to go experiment with hats!

    I have bad bangs too...:(
The guilty party, however is ME lol
I constantly trim them! Now I just leave them totally alone...I used to straighten my bangs only lol but I don't think that looks good when the rest of the hair is very curly haha
So I'm right there with ya!!

Normal porosity. Normal reaction to protein.

Tresemme Naturals Silicone Free, GVP Conditioning Balm, or the Suave COs

    LA Looks Clear Gel

Jojoba, Coconut and Olive oils :angel5:

Routine: Condition daily, leaving it in for 3-5mins then rinsing with *cold* water. I scrunch my soaking wet hair immediately to encourage curl formation then plop hair in a t-shirt for 5mins before I scrunch in the gel. I air dry.

I'm sorry you are unhappy, we have all suffered the bad haircut. I am not pleased with one I had recently. 3 inches gone!

Keep the bangs clipped back if you don't like them until they grow.

About a month ago someone blogged about curly bangs but I can't remember who it was...Anyone remember? It could help to see what she does with hers...
