I hear about it but i am not so sure how it works. I have some hair butter from Curls by Sister Smith...is it like that?

Shea Butter is the best moisturizer in the world. You just have to try it to belive the benefits. Rub it on after a shower and you will see and feel the difference. With shea, you don't need lotion. It has a nutty smell that diminishes with time, but you can add your own fragrance or buy scented if you don't like the natural smell. It can be hard so you have to really rub it in your hands before application or whip it with a hand mixer. You can buy whipped, but it costs more.
Oh yeah, you can use it everywhere! Apparently you can cook with it too, but I haven't tried that.

I usually take one container (16 oz) of shea, add one stick of cocoa butter, 2 Tbs of olive oil and a few drops of jasmine oil... Mix it all up in a bowl and put the smooth mixture back in the bowl for personal use.

It may seem like a lot of work, but it's not and the product lasts a long time. I't great for winter and summer. Your skin will thank you.
