What's you favorite ad?

Doesn't matter what it's about...Any ad or ads you like. Ones that you think are funny, or ones that made you interested in the product. I just want to have an idea of what people like, especially since the ads in the ME are very cheesy and I want to see examples of ads people like in other areas...One of my concentrations is all about advertising (the creative aspects)...I feel I need to do some research on this because I'm feeling self-conscious about my "creativity"-I'm Marketing Communications and since the school is small the Business and VC students take those same courses together, seeing that Marketing Communications is (I remember people having a heart attack when I said something like that before...but the courses I'm taking now, even though they are under Business, only require the creative aspects of advertising-no budgets, balance sheets or anything else, he just wants us to "create" ads).

Some different style/type of ads in the ME are rejected by the public. For example, there was this ad for something (I can't even remember what? charity organization? bank? not sure) where there is a close up of people talking with voices that obviously did not match their own. For example, there is a close up of a very old man talking, but the voice is of a little boy. Then there is a close up of a young woman talking, but she was talking in a man's voice. Then a close up of a young girl talking, but with the voice of an old lady...

My dad hated that ad. He hated it so much he would start swearing whenever it came up. Then I heard some other people felt the same way. I felt it was kind of creepy (even though I don't think it was intended that way, which made it creepier), but it didn't bother me that much...

Anyway, your favorite ad? And if there is one that creeps you out or you feel is too "done," pls feel free to add.

I like most of the Geico Gecko, and the old Geico Cavemen commercials. I think they are running out of ideas for the cavemen however, and the show totally ruined them.

During the Superbowl the commercial for Cash4Gold with MC Hammer was hilarious! It didn't get enough recognition IMO, especially since all the other commercials were very sub-par this year. I tell you, I am really over all the clydesdales commercials, for real!

I agree with the dubbing voices, with any person or especially animals are old and need to stop.

Really though, I don't get to see too many commercials anyway since I have a DVR, so I'm pretty limited on what I do see.

I liked the commercial with Peyton Manning where he is visiting the other cities where he has football games and the random people are insulting him, but he just responds with an answer as if he had no clue. Sorry, I'm at work and don't have access to Youtube. I'm not sure if this link will work as it's just what I was able to get from google:

The Burger King guy creeps me out. And I didn't understand the Microsoft commercials with Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld. Don't think many people did and that's why they pulled 'em.

The overly caffeinated T-Mobile cheerleader will always be hilarious to me. The tearful "I was gonna be the only one there in a white swimsuit, and then SHE had it too..." just slays me. "Whatever! WHATEVER! Whatever! WHATEVER!"

I used to love the old Bush Beans commercials where the dog would say "Roll that beautiful bean footage" it still makes me laugh just thinking about it.

I love, love, love the stupid Geico commercials with the stack of money and Rockwell's song. Something about the ping-pong eyes on the stack of money and the song is just perfectly hilarious.

Every person has a unique connection to the Creator that can never be extinguished, and every person has a great soul that can manifest important things in our world. To make a person feel less than they are because of something inside themselves, be it faith, race, or sexual orientation, is the greatest sin of all."

The Bush beans commericals are great.

So are the Geico commercials. I like the one where the guy pulls over for directions and the farmer or whatever the guy standing on side of the road notes how tired the money looks. heheh... perfect!

    I LOVE the Peyton commercial.

I also love the new Chef Boyardee commercial where the wife is trying to get her husband to keep quiet about vegetables in the food the little kid is eating.

That Chef Boyardee makes me laugh ever time. I even make her faces later because she makes me laugh so much.

Few things are as creepy as the Burger King guy. I hate that commercial and change it every time.

    other than those, I love:

The new cheetos commercial with Rachel and Vanessa and Vanessa wipes her dirty cheesy hand on Rachel's white jacket.

An old Foot Action commercial where the employees are big fans of people who exercise and stuff and they follow the boom-boxes. In one, the runner stops and pushes one of the employees to the floor, just to have him get up and run after him to get keep up the music. And one where a girl is running through the city and the employee gets hit by a car and she runs past. Those cracked me up.

The michelin commercial with the michelin man checking each individual tire and loving it. A disco ball comes down and the lights dim. THen the tire leaves and he waves it good-bye all sad.

    Perfect.

The pupperoni commercial where the dogs hold signs in their mouths of the things they would say to their owners. i want a dog!

    Commercials I hate:

all recent anti-smoking commercials. The dancing teens are so frickin annoying.

the recent anti-marijuana commercial where the kid keeps getting burned by an imaginary joint. It disturbs me to no end.

Haha, I like that Chef Boyardee commercial too! Especially when she starts banging on the pots and pans, lol.

Back about 12 years or so I loved the GAP commercials which were like Khaki Swing, Khaki Rock, Khaki Country and it was just a bunch of people wearing the khaki's and dancing.
