    Hey there!
Good luck with your pineapple! I tried it once when my hair was pretty wet (mistake!!) and it didn't go so well as my curls were smashed:dontknow:
but, when I tried it with my hair not that wet bout 90% dry and it was great! it's kinda something you have to experiment with... and remember!! Don't worry be curly!:wav:

well the pineapple doesn't do much for me either! haha but if you wanna try zcurlygirl you take a loose thick scrunchy put all your hair on top of your head and wrap it into a bun and put the scrunchy around it. good luck:salut:

i actually like to pinapple a lot. if i tie a scarf around my head my curls get smashed, and if i wear them down, they get frizzy. but when i do pinapple... even if the sides get a little frizzy while i toss and turn, the top stays the same and i just style the top of my hair over the messed up part.

just dont pull the hair too tight in the scrunchie or your curls will be pulled straight on the top and sides

I AM IN LOVE WITH PINAPPLING!!!!!! I love it because it doesn't smoosh my curls when I sleep, and it's really easy. I just put a sorta loose ponytail on the top of my head with a SCRUNCHIE. You have to use a scrunchie, or it will end up all weird. It also balances out my volume, so I get less volume at my ends and more at my roots. :happy7::happy7::happy7:

I've heard a lot of good things about plopping (the thing where you wrap the t-shirt around your head right?). A friend of mines does it every night before bed and her hair comes out great! Good for the whole 'second day hair' problem a lot of curlies have...

I like plopping a lot. I use my curlease towel every day. :)

Anyways, I have recently discovered a way to pineapple longer curly hair! I always used to hate it, because the curls flopped in my face. I am using the first method explained here (this is not my blog):
    http://collegecurly.blogspot.com/2009/02/modified-pineapple.html

Basically you still put your hair up in a high pony tail with a scrunchie, but you use large jaw clips to secure the pony to the top of your head.

It's really comfy and this might help others that are not liking pineappling. :bom:

Wow! Pineappling really works for me. My hair has to be wet, though, because I like to pineapple overnight. That way, my curls don't get as frizzy and smooshed. I think my hairtype is 3a? But I don't really know, I'm still waiting for replies on my post on the 3a forum...

Everytime I take a shower at night I pineapple. If I don't, I end up with really bad frizz. It shouldn't feel uncomfortable if you tie the scrunchy loosely.

Plopping, is a whole different story. My hair hates plopping.

I tried it last night, using the "The Modified Pineapple" method here: http://collegecurly.blogspot.com/2009/02/modified-pineapple.html

When I took my hair out in the morning I had tons of volume! (Which is a good thing, I guess  ) I just had a bit of frizz, and my curls where still there, but they where just "different" from when I went to bed. So I guess this method works okay for me, it's better than just sleeping on my hair and waking up with a frizzing mess.

I agree. I can only pineapple all night. On the couple times I tried plopping it ended up falling off. I think it might work better if I had had a sleep bonnet or something.

Neways, since the last time I posted on this thread I have made a youtube video about pineappling! HTH for those that are confused:

Pineappling is where you take all your curls and put them in a loose pony tail with a SCRUNCHIE (has to be a scrunchie) on top of your head and sleep on it.
