Castor oil ... help !!!

Hello,

I know that castor oil is a thick oil, with a neutral scent but how is it in hair?

I want to make a hair cream. I already tried to make one but it was too light for my hair thus, not moisturizing enough.

I have mostly light oils and butters : aloe, Camellia kissi oil, cupuacu butter, watermelon oil, and illipe butter. I was thinking of adding avocado oil that is thick or castor oil that is also thick but I heard some negatives things about it so I wanted to ask:

Is it hard to wash out ? Would [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jessicurl-Gentle-Lather-Shampoo-p-363.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=jessicurl-gentle-lather-shampoo]jessicurl gentle lather shampoo[/buylink] wash it off?

Does it dry hair?

Is it too oily for fine hair?

Does it build up easily?

People with either good or bad experiences with it please comment?

Would use the avocado oil or the castor oil or both?

also, what is the difference between the black castor oil and the regular unrefined/refined one?

Thanks

Is it hard to wash out ? I use it and I don't think it's too hard to wash out

Would [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Jessicurl-Gentle-Lather-Shampoo-p-363.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=jessicurl-gentle-lather-shampoo]jessicurl gentle lather shampoo[/buylink] wash it off? I don't use jessicurl

Does it dry hair? Castor oil is a humectant which is supposed to retain moisture. It hasn't dried out my hair and I use it every day. It actually makes my hair softer. I also use it in my deep conditioning treatment.

Is it too oily for fine hair? You don't need to use a lot if you're worrying about it being too oil. A little goes a long way.

Does it build up easily? I don't know how to measure build-up... but I usually rinse my hair once/twice a week.

People with either good or bad experiences with it please comment? It makes my hair soft and it made my edges grow thicker. I think it's making my hair thicker also

Would use the avocado oil or the castor oil or both? Avocado oil sounds good.. I will try it one day, but I like castor because of the thickening effect.

also, what is the difference between the black castor oil and the regular unrefined/refined one? I use jamaican black castor oil because I like how it smells (might be weird)... I tried the regular one from the store and it didn't seem to work as well. But it all depends on how YOUR hair reacts, because some people like the one at the store. My family bought a clear one at a vitamin store (because the one I bought was for laxatives so maybe it was different and not unrefined?) I'll probably try that one when my black one runs out.

Let me know how the avocado oil is if you do decide to use it :)
