Hm is the Boots Ingredients Coconut a new/different line from their original coconut one? I know they put cones in their coconut condish I used to use, only realised it recently.

I like the Naked Shine stuff, esp. the conditioner. You can buy M.O.P. in store at Boots, not sure about online, I like their leave in and Mixed Greens condish. They've also started stocking Paul Mitchell which I am re-experimenting with after years away (so many hair products, so little time!) The Andrew Collinge scrunching gelly is pretty crunchy but good, also the Boots purple gel is pretty decent. hm..not sure what else, I need a Boots visit myself! that's a shame they don't have the curl cream online. I guess it would cost as much to ship it as it's worth as it's pretty big. Oh I like the Henna too, for colour anyway but not the most moisturising, gives a bit of poufy hair on me. Maybe put Naked Shine on after!

I think it's really just a case of experimenting with different products to see what works for you.

I first went CG just before Christmas and had good results, but started to feel like my scalp just wasn't getting clean enough, so now I'm following a modified CG routine.

I start off with a Naked shampoo (because they're sulfate free) - first I used Naked Care, and I'm now using Naked Boost. Then I use a heavy-duty conditioner. The Naked Boost deep conditioner is very good, but at the moment I'm using the Boots deep conditioners because they're a lot cheaper. The coconut and almond oil, chamomile, henna and peppermint and tea tree ones which come in the big tubs are good, and 'cone free, but be careful because the normal conditioners in that range and the leave in sprays I think have 'cones in. They also have a new jojoba and honey deep conditioner which I'm currently using.

For leave in I'm using a tiny bit of Original source conditioner rubbed into my hair, although if you really want a spray in one, I believe the Boots Botanics one is 'cone free.

Then for styling I'm using the Boots curl creme and a selection of different gels.

None of this stuff is expensive, which is good because I'm a poor student!

The purple-ish boots gel is what I use as well. Cost hardly anything, but does exactly what it says on the tin.
I'm personally quite a fan of the Naked stuff, although quite a few of their shampoos&conditioners do contain a water-soluble 'cone - the detox and care shampoo are 'cone free, as is the care conditioner and their deep treatments.
    Alternatively, I also like Original Source (Almond&Coconut, WhitePear&Avocado, Peppermint&TeaTree).
I usually make my own leave-in by mixing a bit of conditioner into a spray bottle with water.
Curling it in Scotland the modCG way since September 2008.
    Long suffering wavy - 2a/b.

    Low-poo:
    • Naked Rescue or Care
    Conditioners:
    • Original Source (any variety)
    • Naked Care and Naked Rescue DT
    • ASDA Essential Care Mango&Passionfruit or Coconut&Tiare
    Stylers:
    • Boots Essentials Curl Creme
    • Boots Essentials Strong Hold Gel (purple)
