curly cuts & wavies

I have very wavy hair with some curls in it and I'm wondering if a stylist who cuts curly hair dry will consider my hair curly enough to do that. I actually found a curly stylist in my hometown. I'm not quite at the point where I need a cut, but I'm wondering if I"m going to have trouble with curly stylists not cutting my hair right either. Is this ever a problem?

a good curly hair stylist is able to cut all types of curly hair, and that includes wavy. most of us have a mix of types, i have 3a and 2c. stylists who do not cut many curly heads might probably have problem cutting two different types of curls so that it can grow in right.
look for a stylist who cuts a lot of curly heads!!
ask how often she cuts curly hair.
    good luck!

    3a, some 2c & 3b, medium texture, porosity normal, low elasticity :-(

Last time I went, she started it dry, then washed it, and then cut the bottom layers wet.

growing out my bangs and short layers

    Current routine, every day:
    Mastey Traite shampoo
    Mastey Frehair conditioner
pink Boots curl creme (TINY amount)
    Aura Lemongrass Mousse
scrunch with Curls Like Us Curl Cloth
    diffuse
    air dry
    scrunch out the crunch

I think you're better of going to a curly stylist the principles of cutting wavy hair are the same. She/He needs to see your wave pattern and how to cut it to maximize their wavy potential ;)
