ponytail puff.....

briccagrlbriccagrl Posts: 540Registered Users
I always wear my hair up in a ponytail for work. My problem is when I leave the house it looks okay but by midday the bottom of the ponytail is just a puffball. I've tried everything...the rest of my hair looks fine in a ponytail not frizzy at all..its just the botton. It drives me crazy!!! Anyone have any solutions for this. :D

Yup..and I even add extra to the ends and it still looks aweful by the end of the day :( Its probably just my hair type..so thick and curly the ends are going to get puffy in a ponytail.

How low of a ponytail is it? I've found that the lower it is, the more likely is it to frizz because it's probably rubbing up against something(whether it's your neck, clothes, back of chairs, etc.). Try putting it alittle higher and see what happens.
A wonderful mix of coils, curls, corkscrews, and kinks.

Thats a great idea!! I do usually wear it low..I never really thought that would be the cause. I'll try it out. Thanks shygirl :D

It will probably help to change the position of the ponytail. If that doesn't give you the full affect you want, you may want to try a smoothing, defrizzing cream (instead of your gel) like the Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave In Cream.
