New Products and learning how to use

Hello Curlies,

I am a newbie and I have ordered some of the raved about products. I bought some [buylink=]Curly Hair Solutions Curl Keeper[/buylink], Boots(pink), and Some CHS Silk Leave in.

I am unsure how to use the [buylink=]Curl Keeper[/buylink] for 4a hair. I don't want my hair to be too hard. Can anyone give me advice on how you layer it and use it for 4a hair????

Can you use a really moisturizing leave-in before the [buylink=]curl keeper[/buylink] to combat the hardness??? I also bought some Qhemet and I'm not sure how I should use these products yet either. So any help at all will be really appreciated.

Oh and I also have V05 moisture milks Straw+Cream and the smoothie one. Elasta QP Mango Butter, ORS Olive Oil Cream, Fantasia IC Styling Gel with sparkelites.

So any rec on how to use any of these products would really help. Do you use them on wet or dry hair. And in what way??? Do you mix them with anything else??? What products do you layer underneath or use before????

Thanks so much I'm freakin out here!!

I haven't used [buylink=]curl keeper[/buylink] but I'm sure you can use a moisturizing leave-in which will lessen the crunch. What qhemet products do you have?

I use the Elasta QP MB on wet hair.. A small amount mixed with some condish and layer it under S 'n' S Curl Activating Gel... It makes my hair fluffy and light...

I can only give advice on the IC Fantasia and the VO5 from your list.

I use the VO5 (blueberries and cream) or any cheapie conditioner as a CW/DT. Unlike most people, I don't really use the cheapies like shampoo and then follow with a conditioner. Instead I mix together several conditioners, add castor oil, coconut (or evoo) oil and molasses. Then I apply and wait 10 minutes or so. Then I detangle and rinse out with cool water (I rub my scalp prior to detangling). Then I move on to the leave-ins and styling products. I use the Fantasia (blue) over a leave-in conditioner and mixed it with smooth-n-shine curl activator. I do this on all on wet/soaking wet hair.
