Hey,

I'm running low on conditioner and about to get a new one, but I was wondering what you guys are currently using. I'm a 3a curly.

Thanks

    Hi,

    I also have 3a hair (I think...So confusing!!).
I use Australian Organics Herbal conditioner from Holland and Barretts (The health food shop). Its really good value (at £3.99 a bottle) and it works great.

Its a little bit thin in consistency, but I mix with a bit of honey and its great!

    :)

Currently using Original Source Almond and Coconut (bought from Sainsbury's) and adding my own teaspoon of honey.

This stuff is so cheap it's criminal but it works and it's CG friendly too!

I'm suprised your boots didn't have it, perhaps it depends on the size of the store.
Sainsbury's should and some Superdrug's do. If not you can order it from their website, which works out a little more expensive.

I buy OS condish in Tesco. I love the Mint one for co-washing!

I also bought the Andrew Collinge Moisture condish there a few days ago, it's not strictly CG but it does not have any of the 'nasty cones' in. Ive used this a couple of times & it's really nice up to now, very moisturising, good slip. I like the AC gelle too.
Also all the AC stuff is 2 for 1 at the moment in Tesco.
    U.K curly

Low poo: Dr Organic, L'Oreal Everpure.

Before you go into superdrug go to their website, sign up for a free newsletter and you get a 10% off voucher that you can keep using through the summer! Extra Barginess.

The OS in my boots is really low on the shelves so it took me a while to find it. http://www.originalsource.co.uk/ is the OS website, which I think may have a list of places that stock it.

I've just started using Faith in Nature conditioners. They are recommended by BUAV (against vivisection). I got the Ginko Biloba and the Jojoba conditioners. They are all between £3.50 and £4.50 a bottle (400ml).

I emailed them to ask if they would consider making a sulphate-free shampoo too, and they said yes! They are in the planning process right now - so watch out!

Have you seen the 5 litre bottles you can get on their website.
Fat does not make you fat. It's actually pretty important.

Yeah, I know  I keep thinking it is completely irrational to have 5 whole litres of something, but then the pj inside of me keeps giggling nervously behind my ear ... :?

I'm definitely a believer in the Regis Olive Oil range - I get it from a shop called Trade Secrets, which I think is a chain. It leaves my curls nice and fat and moist, not stringy or fluffy (unless it's a dodgy hair day and they sometimes just happen, don't they?). I make sure I rinse my hair upside down, squeeze the conditioner through rather than comb it, and don't put conditioner near my scalp.

On a slightly different note - what do people think about styling gels/cremes versus a leave-in conditioner? I'm not sure just a leave-in would hold my curls enough, but some people seem to be fans. I do like the idea of no styling product...
