I could really only think of one Christmas song that I hate. I love Christmas music! I happen to like the Little Drummer Boy and Mr. Grinch. What songs do you love?

I love Christmas music too! Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree was my favorite growing up. O Holy Night and that one by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (Christmas Eve Sarajevo?) are also pretty good. The only one I absolutely cannot stand is Baby, It's Cold Outside.

I love contemporary instrumental Christmas music. TSO, George Winston, I'll take them all.

And in an irony to end all ironies:
Breath of Heaven by Amy Grant
The Hanukkah Song by Adam Sandler

    Yes, I'm still Pagan.
God doesn't give special kids to special parents. He takes ordinary, imperfect people, and gifts them with his greatest treasures. And therein, he creates special parents.

    Christian - Oh Holy Night
Holiday - This Christmas (Donny Hathaway) and sorry Jenn, but Baby, It's Cold Outside (Vanessa Williams)

    Love TSO.

Tradtional songs sung by a good choir with organ.

Hallelujah Chorus (not sure if it's holiday specific but the Church of my youth would do it every Christmas Eve service)

Gaudete - again, not sure if it's Christmas specific, but I hear it at Christmas. I like the version my the Medeaval Baebes.

    Frosty/Rudolph/Jinlge Bells and such.

A *good* rendition of O Holy Night, but there are some bad ones out there.

Silent Night, but sung the way it was back when I was a kid at Midnight services. hard to explain.

All of the grinch songs. Love the song at the end.

ETA: Also, "What Child is This" probably because I like Greensleves and it's the same tune.
    Kiva! Microfinance works.

I like Fairytale of New York (the Pogues version not Ronan Keeting's cover). And I like Band Aid's Feed the World (even if it is both cheesy and a bit 'worthy')

Also, bearing in mind I'm an atheist, I like Tim Minchin's White Wine in the Sun.

My absolute favorite Christmas song is "Sleigh Ride" any version (sorry spring1onu). I like most Christmas music and I am one who does like "Baby it's cold outside", the version done by Vanessa Williams and Bobby Caldwell.

    From Michael Berg:

Every person has a unique connection to the Creator that can never be extinguished, and every person has a great soul that can manifest important things in our world. To make a person feel less than they are because of something inside themselves, be it faith, race, or sexual orientation, is the greatest sin of all."

Step Into Christmas - Elton John
All I Want For Christmas Is You - Mariah Carey
    Last Christmas - Wham!
Please Come Home For Christmas - Eagles
Greatest Time of Year - Aly & AJ

I guess I lean toward the non-traditional songs, but I like quite a few Christmas songs [carols are probably my least favorite though].

I don't know who sings it but this is for jess!!
    The Chimney Song

There's something stuck up in the chimney
And I don't know what it is,
But it's been there all night long.
Well, I waited up for Santa all Christmas night
But he never came and it don't seem right.
And there's something in the chimney
And it doesn't make a sound,
But I wish you Merry Christmas.

There's something stuck up in the chimney
And I don't know what it is,
But it's been there all week long.
Well, the dog keeps barking up the chimney flue
And we don't know what we're going to do.
Cause there's something in the chimney
    And it doesn't move around,
And it's been a week since Christmas.

There's something stuck up in the chimney
And I don't know what it is,
But it's been there all month long.
Well, it's jammed up tight above the fireplace
Now the house smells funny, such a big disgrace.
That there's something in the chimney
And it doesn't talk at all,
And it's been there since last Christmas.

There's something stuck up in the chimney
And I don't know what it is,
But it's been there all year long.
I'll been waiting up for Santa like I did last year
But my brother says, "He's already here."
And he's stuck up in the chimney
And he doesn't say a word
And he'll be there every Christmas.
And we'll have him every Christmas.
My favorite song is also Breath of Heaven - Amy Grant her Christmas Album(S) all of them are awesome!~~~

Yup, another irreligious person who loves all Christmas music. Mostly, I like the classics and the traditional 1950s sort of stuff. My (many) favorites:

Carol of the Bells (Both choral and instrumental! It might be my favorite.)
Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire (Nat King Cole)
    White Christmas (Bing Crosby)
    Let it Snow (Lena Horne)
Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree (Brenda Lee)
    Jingle Bell Rock (Bobby Helms)
It's Not the Presents (Eva Cassidy)
    Blue Christmas (Elvis Presley)
    Silver Bells
    O Come All Ye Faithful
    O Holy Night
    Silent Night
Gloria in Excelsis Deo or Angels We Have Heard on High
    Ave Maria
God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen (Does anyone know of a good simple arrangement of this song with a female vocalist? I don't have a copy I really like!)
I like Last Christmas by Wham and All I want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey. I also like the Hanson and NSync christmas albums from my teeny bopper days!

YES, I love it! I still kick off every Christmas Music season by listening to Hanson's Merry Christmas Baby or Silent Night Medley. It's a tradition by now. ;)

It's Bob Rivers, from his Twisted Christmas CD. He's got some really funny songs. I have that CD and also his White Trash Christmas CD.

If you go to playlist.com, they have The Chimney Song there, you can make a play list. :)

I put the same 5 CD's in the player every year. Bing Crosby, Charlie Brown, Amy Grant, Manheim Steamroller and Mormon Tabernacle Choir. If my husband dares to replace one with another of the 40 Christmas CD's we own, I very patiently take it out and put the old one back in. I'm very picky about my Christmas traditions!
