Just wanted to share a few photos of my hair. These were taken today.

I tried to post a photo in the post, but it doesn't seem to be working for me. Any tips?

Edited to add:
I did not realize if I edited my post, it would bounce back to the top.

Sorry about that...

It looks good! And the cut is really nice too!

I'll tell you how to place the pic in your post, if you tell me how to cover my face in pics, like you did. :D

Once tiny pic tells you your pic is successfully hosted, look right below that red message and copy the entire link in the Img box. Paste it in your post and viola!

Remember to copy everything in the box, including the outer [IMG][/IMG]'s.

    HTH. :D

Hey Curlybound06 - your hair is a very close relative of mine. What products do you use?

    Hi Medussa,

    Do you have Adobe Photoshop?

If you do, Open the photo,
click on the eliptical marquee tool, draw a circle or oval over your face and push delete on the keyboard...then do a save as.

    HTH

So, I have to have tiny pic? What is this? I can't link it to the yahoo album?

    Hi spiral-nc,
this morning i cond. wash with bed head moisture maniac, left some in, applied glycerin/aloe vera gelly mix, then added joico mousse.

This is first time i have worn it out with the glycerin/aloe vera gelly mix...i think it makes big difference.

You are right...our hair is similar.

Oddly enough, the length of your hair in the year 3 photo is very close to mine...i think mine is about 2 to 3 inches shorter. :D

    Okay, go to tinypic.com

Browse for the location of your pic.

Then click the button for Host it! I think that's what the button is called. But you need to reduce the size of your pic before tinypic hosts it. Tinypic does reduce the size, but it still seems too big to post here.

I like to experiment with styling products a lot - I have had good results with Oyin [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Oyin-Handmade-Greg-Juice-p-190.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=oyin-greg-juice-nourishing-herbal-leavein]Greg Juice[/buylink] and [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Oyin-Handmade-Whipped-Pudding-p-353.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=oyin-whipped-pudding]Whipped Pudding[/buylink], IC gel w/ Sparkelites, and ORS Loc and Twist cream gel. My staples are Aubrey Organics GPB and Honeysuckle Rose conditioners (for rinse outs) and [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Elucence-Moisture-Balancing-Conditioner-p-39.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=elucence-elucence-moisture-balancing-conditioner]Elucence MBC[/buylink] as my leave-in. For shampoo, I'm really bad - I use whatever is on hand, but I'm going to try Elucence shampoo soon. I also want to try Curl Junky [buylink=http://www.curlmart.com/Curl-Junkie-CoffeeCoco-Curl-Creme-p-488.html?utm_source=naturallycurly.com&utm_medium=text-link&utm_content=curltalk-post-text&utm_campaign=curl-junkie-coffeecoco-curl-creme]CoffeeCoco Curl Creme[/buylink] soon.

After I posted the question, I saw your album of products.

For shampoo, try Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Shampoo.

    Hi Susu,

    Thanks!

For pics taken on 3/14, I rinsed with ACV, then conditoner washed with Kenra, then applied Kenra mixed with my jojoba/aloe vera gelly mix and applied that, added a bit more Kenra and finished with a light coat of Aussie's Tizz No Friz..did not finger comb products through hair.

For the first set of pics, I used Bed Head Moisture Manaic as a conditioner wash and leave in , glycerine/aloe vera mix and Joico mousse, finger combed products through the hair.

I get better results not combing products through my hair. I am going to stick with Kenra combination for awhile and see what happens.

Beautiful hair! I envy the moisture of your hair. My curls keep changing and it looks similar to yours now. They were annoyingly dry, frizzy, and small compared to others curls on 3c board, but now that I see your hair I have hope that I can grow mines out and they will as beautiful as yours. Thanks for posting, it really lifted my "hair blues". 8)

Sugarhoneyicedtea, thanks for the compliment, and you are welcome (about me posting the pics). I am glad I could help someone.

I also deal with dryness. So far, I get the best results wearing my out with Kenra and detangling with Moisture Manic from Bed Head. Jojoba oil also helps with dryness and a tad goes a long way.

Apple Cidar Vinegar rinses also help.

In six to seven months, I am going to get my hair cut so I can wear it out without having to wear a handband. I can't wait, and I will be sure to post updated pics.

I am going to another state, but not to those fancy salons. :D

Seven months is just the timeframe of when I will be going for a visit, so I thought I would scratch off several to-do items at once.

What are the proportions for your aloe vera mixes? I might like to try them.

    ladykej,

    If I remember correctly:

1 TBS of jojoba oil and 5 to 6 TBS of Lily of Desert 99% aloe vera gelly. Put in container and shake well before using. I left some room for shaking, so these numbers should be fairly correct.

I meant to write the proportions down, but I forgot.
