For me, deep conditioning hair with heat is the only way to make sure that my hair stays moisturized until the next shampoo. I need the higher heat to soften the cuticles so that the conditioner can get inside and stay inside the hair shaft. It has nothing to do with the ingredients; my hair is just "interesting" that way. Then, I can use leave-in's to maintain the moisture level.

In fact, I love to deep condition my hair in the sun. I realize that using heat may be different for some people, but it works for me.

What product(s) and/or techniques work for your hair that may seem odd to other people?:confused2:

P.S. I do not have type 3a hair, but I have noticed that I can use some of the same methods and products that other textures use!
