Hi from England

*wave*
Found out about this forum on a Uk-based forum, then took the no-poo shampooing to a different forum and am being converted, my Curly Girl book should arrive tomorrow (can't wait)!
I'm Kate, going on 21, and as the thread title says, I live in England, West Yorkshire to be a bit more precise.
I class myself as a 2A, but I'm not 100% sure. I had straight hair when I was little, but a year or so ago I had it cut and it started showing a tendancy to curl. I lost this pretty quickly, and now I'm starting to cultivate it. So 2a with potential to progress to 3a I hope.
I went poo free about the 20th October, just cut out shampoo completely. I've tried conditioning once or twice, but it makes my hair feel "squeaky clean" which I don't like, so until I find the right conditioner, I've just been using water. I think I've avoided a transition period, and although it is still quite frizzy, the curls are now more defined, and staying in longer than before.
I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks in another months time, especially once I get some good gel and a microfibre towel!
Just before going poo-free
