How many of you have and actively use an alter ego/alias?

Since no one cares about science anyway, here's another unscientific poll!
I only expect anonymous responses via the poll, if any.

If you had multiple email accounts, you could set up aliases under each account.
But, no, I do not have any aliases. It seems like it would be too complicated keeping track of who I was being at that time!
Please excuse any typos. For the time being, we are blaming it on my computer.
Well, people admit to being an alias sometimes, so I'm guessing there is a way to do it.
Doesn't it know the server though? Someone has that stupid signature (no offense, just find it kinda creepy) that tells you your ISP # and what your running and all that. Surely if an avatar program can pick it up, the website would have access.

I always assumed it was people posting with a problem and the mods let it slide. If someone posts a sensitive topic and admits they are a member but would prefer to remain anonomous, the mods just look the other way.
Never mind, this is far too confusing to me. I think people have way too much time on there hands. I can hardly remember my one password to get into here, let alone several.

Maybe they have one persona from work and one from home. Someone called them the "night crew" in one thread - maybe they're really some of the same posters as the "day crew" and we'll never know.
I'll say this before I get that obligatory post from somone or their alias, which I'll probably get anyway - this isn't really important and I don't really care. I just find it amusing to think about.
Same thing happened when Smurfette came along and defended me one day.
It would truly be no fun talking with yourself so what's the point of creating aliases?

I actually wasn't thinking she was you, but her post did put the thought of aliases back in my head.
I talk to myself all the time. But creating an alias and doing it on a board is too weird, even for me.
I was born to be a pessimist. My blood type is B Negative.
But, I like the new aliases, and I don't mean the trolls. I'm not even going to try to bust them because they are clever, funny and keep me entertained..
hehe
I think more people should pop up...especially if they are going to agree with me. :P
Sad, isn't it? It's actually really pathetic.

I agree, actually :!: Now how they go about agreeing....
As long as they agree with me, it's all good.
As an aside, as predicted, someone did accuse poor little Chronicity of being an alias/troll.
She probably is...
Where's my buddy, PI?
why would you say that?

You rang?
So I dunno.

Someone is new and dares offer strong opinions...therefore they must be a troll?
Just a feeling, I guess. It's always strange to me when someone's first post is in non-hair, regardless of what it's about. But to be that outspoken in a first post just goes against typical social behavior - usually people ease their way into new situations/environments. I'm atypical, so I know she doesn't have to be an alias, but she probably is, imo.
Either way, that doesn't take away from her points I agree with.
Sorry.. I meant PoisonIvy
I know who you meant... 8)
