some of the co-workers are talking about having a cookie exchange next month.

does anyone have a basic cookie dough recipe that could be made in bulk and then jazzed up with different ingredients/cutters/decorations to make different types of cookies????

TIA!!!

Hope this isn't too late, but I love this recipe: http://www.verybestbaking.com/recipes/detail.aspx?ID=128664

They are super moist and stay that way much longer than the Tollhouse choc. chip recipe. You can use any flavor pudding (french vanilla makes really good basic chocolate chip) and of course any flavor chocolate chips or different mix ins (toffee bits, nuts, etc). The recipe isn't very big, so you would have to double or triple it/

My mom found this idea in a magazine where you make regular old chocolate chip cookies and then dip them an edge in white chocolate. I also like to put Christmas sprinkles on the chocolate to make them more festive.
