um, wheres my period? *unfortunate update bottom of page 2*

subbrocksubbrock Registered Users Posts: 8,212
i cant find my period. its a week late and im always on time (or early). ive never had this happen before. i even had a "fake period" when i was pregnant with the munchkin.
i took a home pregnancy test, twice, and both times it said i wasnt pregnant.
should i wait some more and take another test or just believe that im not pregnant?

I'd probably get a quant. HCG at my doctor (blood test)- just to be sure. In fact, I've done so twice in your situation; once I WAS, and once I WASN'T.

    It's on sabbatical.

    Just kidding.
It's normal for our cycle to have blips every once in a while. Right after I turned 38 I was 2 weeks late. I ovulated, my body geared up for pms, and then nothing. I took a test or two which were negative, and waited.
Some women don't test as positive for a while after they skip a period.
After only a week, I wouldn't freak (even though I personally would). Wait another week and test again. If you're still testing negative then call your doctor.

I'd wait a few days and test again.

Are you sure you're a week late? Is it possible that you ovulated a bit later than usual?

I'd retest in a few days.

i'll give it another week before i make a dr. appointment.

until then i'll probably do 8 million more pregnancy tests at home. :toothy5:
